Identification: Who Are You?

IDENTIFICATION

One stronghold in our minds says we ARE the sinful fleshly nature. It’s a lie that Satan has repeated so often it’s become a stronghold. It seems real. It’s a lie. Our true identity is Christ in us the hope of glory. The Holy Spirit will tear down this stronghold. Christ in you is your ministry. That’s who you are. You aren’t the flesh. If you identify with the flesh, you’ll manifest the fruit of the flesh. Your flesh will tell you, “THAT’S HOW GOD MADE YOU.” “YOU CAN’T HELP IT.” “YOUR TENDENCY TO SIN IS WHO YOU ARE.” If you listen to your fleshly mind, you’ll fulfill what it says. You must listen to the Spirit, and the Spirit says, “Christ lives in you, and Christ in you is who you are.” “Christ in you cannot sin, and that’s who you are.” “Christ in you has full authority and power over your flesh and exercises this authority and power when you turn your attention to Christ.” Your flesh isn’t born again and can’t do righteousness. When you were born again, a brand new Person was born in you. Christ in you is born again, not the flesh. How much sin can Christ, He Who is born of God, do? None. How much righteousness can the flesh do? None.

“Whosoever abideth in Him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him. Little children, let no man deceive you: He that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for His seed remaineth in Him: and He cannot sin, because He is born of God” (1 John 3:6-9).

A Song of Deliverance

All that is of the world in my self,
I renounce it and reject it in the name of Jesus.
burn it up with Your Spirit fire.
Purge it from me, I don’t need it.

Then I fill that void with You,
And let Your glory shine.
With authority, full authority
with faith and grace divine.

All that is of the flesh in my self,
I renounce it and reject it in the name of Jesus.
Burn it up with Your Spirit fire.
Purge it from me, I don’t need it.

Then I fill that void with You,
And let Your glory shine.
With authority, full authority
with faith and grace divine.

All that is of sin and death in my self,
I renounce it and reject it in the name of Jesus.
Burn it up with Your Spirit fire.
Purge it from me, I don’t need it.

Then I fill that void with You,
And let Your glory shine.
With authority, full authority
with faith and grace divine.

TAKE AWAY THE FLESHLY VEIL AND BE TRANSFIGURED

“but whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.”

“And we all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are progressively being transformed (transfigured) into His image from one degree of glory to even more glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:16-18

“But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart (2 Corinthians 3:16-18 KJV).

When they read Scripture, they only see the theology they’ve been taught. The fleshly veil makes it impossible for them to hear God’s voice. We need to turn our attention to Jesus and listen closely to His voice.

“Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away. Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord” (2 Corinthians 3:16-18 KJV).

A child of the King

A child of the King

A child of the King

It’s a glorious salvation, it’s a wonderful way,
And God has shed His light upon my pathway.
And my way keeps growing brighter and I want to shout and sing,
A creature of eternity, a child of the King.

CHORUS:
A child of the King, a child of the King;
Inheritance unfading, Oh let the joybells ring!
And I want to sing forever of salvation full and free.
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
For saving me!

I used to walk in darkness and my way it was not clear,
Until the blessed Saviour into my life appeared.
And He spoke such peace and joy to my heart that day.
There’s a new creation standing on the earth today.

Now I follow ever onward in the Kingdom of the Lord
Clothed in salvation’s armour, the Word of God my sword.
I gaze upon the promised land and praise the Lord on high.
The land of milk and honey I see before my eyes.

The Lord speaks softly to me, “My son, this is your rest –
The realm that I’ve prepared for My chosen blest.
And the Sons of God shall reign with me throughout eternity.
The chosen, called and faithful shall inherit all you see.”

“And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the Name of the Lord Jesus” (Colossians 3:17 KJV).

Many try to understand Scripture by the fleshly power of the human intellect. If they lean on preconceived ideas, doctrines, theological training, Bible commentaries, or marginal notes rather than Christ, those act as “old wineskins” that burst under the pressure of the “new wine” flowing from God’s throne. The fleshly nature acts as a veil to blind them and dull their hearing.

Many have seen that this is God’s plan. It’s hidden in plain sight in Scripture. Though many have seen the “what” of this, few have seen the “how.” And yet, the “how” is simple and also hidden in plain sight in Scripture. What follows is a description of how God transforms you from one level of glory to the next level of glory.

Stand in the presence of God by allowing His glory to flow. Be open to the Creator God. Realize who you are in Christ. You are the ministry in you, and the ministry is Christ in you. Listen to the voice of the Father leading you through His Spirit. Agree with the faith that comes. Receive it. Reject the voices of doubt and fear. Allow faith to give you access to God’s grace and then allow God’s grace to do God’s work through you in submission to God’s leading. This continues until we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God unto a perfect (totally complete) man to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.

Keep your eyes on Jesus. He’ll complete His work in you.

“And ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13 KJV).

Keep your eyes on Jesus, and He’ll complete His work in you. He identifies and tears down the deceptive strongholds in our minds. If we try to accomplish this work or help Him, our fleshly minds are trying to deceive us by saying they can help us get rid of themselves. We must turn to Jesus, listen to His voice, and see His vision of reality. Even then, our flesh will promise to improve and obey God, but it can’t. We need to yield to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to work through us. Then we’re doing everything in Jesus’ name.

A Lesson From Christopher Columbus
(Keeping one foot on the shore will accomplish nothing.)
Down at the shore line, some are now experiencing the Water. Some are jumping in. Some are dangling a toe while claiming that they have it all. Some are trying unsuccessfully to cross the vast Ocean of the Spirit with vessels of their own designs or with no vessels at all. Others have begun to cross this Ocean in the vessel that is built according to the pattern that is so plainly shown in Scripture.

Our human weakness fails to see the vision of the higher, deeper, and broader expanses of God’s truth.

When Columbus set sail, he was in the ocean the first day he left the port, but before he reached America, many were telling him to turn back. In the same way, many who are seeking the Truth today are refusing to even touch the Water of the Spirit. Some go far inland, away from the shore, so they don’t have to see, hear, smell, taste, or feel this Water of the Spirit. Some of these may even go so far as to claim that there is no Water of the Spirit. From their remote position, they cannot observe the Spirit’s existence. Others carefully protect some form of Water container where someone in generations past did enter the Water and brought a filled container back as proof. Of course, the Water in this container has long since dried up, leaving only the container, whether the container be a creed, a doctrine, a form, a ritual, an organization, or something else.

Of course, keeping one foot on the shore will accomplish nothing. Going half way will accomplish nothing. Any who would succeed must be willing to commit totally and continue on until they reach the mark of the high calling which is in Christ Jesus.

Based in part on “The Feast of Tabernacles” by George Warnock

In recent prophecies, God spoke about staying in the flow of the river and off the banks. The flow of the River is the authority and power of the Holy Spirit. The banks are the shoreline. They are the ways we’re used to. The banks are the theologies, checklists, religious ideas, orders, rules, regulations, and doctrines we have depended on instead of flowing in the Spirit. If we flow in the Spirit, the Spirit will lead us according to true righteousness. He will correct our theologies, ideas, orders, rules, regulations, and doctrines. If we keep a foot on the banks, we will never get where God want’s to lead us since where God wants to lead us is so far beyond what our feeble minds can comprehend.
