You know your thoughts. I know mine. The more you try to NOT think about them the more you think about them. They keep popping up.

Turn on the Light. The Light is Jesus Christ. He has equipped you, and He will equip you more. He gave you spiritual weapons. One weapon is seeking God. Another is prayer. When the arguments and presumptions of the world creep in, look toward Jesus. Ask Him to help you. He will tear the strongholds down. He’ll answer the lies. He’ll give you power to destroy those evil strongholds and thoughts that come from them. Stand in Christ’s presence. His Light will surround you. The more you seek Christ, the closer you stand to Him. The closer you stand to Christ, the more His Light shines in you. The more Christ’s Light shines in you, the less darkness can survive in His presence. Turn on the Light.

The flesh is flesh and can’t be reformed. Christ in you is Christ and can’t sin.

“Whosoever abideth in Him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him. Little children, let no man deceive you: He that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for His seed remaineth in Him: and He cannot sin, because He is born of God” (1 John 3:6-9).

The flesh is flesh and can’t be reformed. Christ in you is Christ and can’t sin. Paul identified with Christ in Him. He was not his flesh. Neither are you your flesh. The old fleshly nature has passed away.

The choice is insanity versus divine revelation.

The choice is between made-up stuff disguised as reality and divine revelation.

The choice is made-up stuff versus divine revelation.

Each of these statements says the same thing. That’s the nature of reality. We need Jesus to have any knowledge, wisdom, understanding, truth, love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, gentleness, inner strength, or faith. You can’t create any of these. You can’t help Christ with any of these. Your part is to yield yourself to Him. Stand in His presence so you can hear His voice. Listen. Yield to His Spirit in willing submission. That’s it.

Now I am changed,
and I’m back on the road.
The Holy Spirit has moved in;
my body is His new abode.
I know He’s working,
lifting my load.
For I have been changed,
and I’m back on the road.

You don’t want to entertain those thoughts, but you can’t sweep them out.

If You Are In Christ, You Are NOT Your Fleshly Nature

IDENTIFICATION
One stronghold in our minds says we ARE the sinful fleshly nature. It’s a lie that Satan has repeated so often it’s become a stronghold. It seems real. It’s a lie. Our true identity is Christ in us the hope of glory. The Holy Spirit will tear down this stronghold. Christ in you is your ministry. That’s who you are. You aren’t the flesh. If you identify with the flesh, you’ll manifest the fruit of the flesh. Your flesh will tell you, “THAT’S HOW GOD MADE YOU.” “YOU CAN’T HELP IT.” “YOUR TENDENCY TO SIN IS WHO YOU ARE.” If you listen to your fleshly mind, you’ll fulfill what it says. You must listen to the Spirit, and the Spirit says, “Christ lives in you, and Christ in you is who you are.” “Christ in you cannot sin, and that’s who you are.” “Christ in you has full authority and power over your flesh and exercises this authority and power when you turn your attention to Christ.” Your flesh isn’t born again and can’t do righteousness. When you were born again, a brand new Person was born in you. Christ in you is born again, not the flesh. How much sin can Christ, He Who is born of God, do? None. How much righteousness can the flesh do? None.

I’ve already told you that the enemy will try to reclaim you. The enemy will try to deceive you into thinking you are stuck. The enemy will bring a suggestion to your mind and then condemn you for the suggestion the enemy brought. He was a liar from the beginning. He’s lying to you. He’s trying to trick you. When this happens, the Holy Spirit will also bring God’s promise to you. You have been delivered. Christ has set you free. The enemy is lying. The enemy doesn’t control you. Your fleshly nature does not control you. You are not a slave. Christ delivered you.

THE FUTILITY OF TRYING TO UNDERSTAND SCRIPTURE BY HUMAN INTELLECT

Many try to understand Scripture by the fleshly power of the human intellect. If they lean on preconceived ideas, doctrines, theological training, Bible commentaries, or marginal notes rather than Christ, those act as “old wineskins” that burst under the pressure of the “new wine” flowing from God’s throne. The fleshly nature acts as a veil to blind them and dull their hearing.

“But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart” (2 Corinthians 3:16-18).

When they read Scripture, they only see the theology they’ve been taught. The fleshly veil makes it impossible for them to hear God’s voice. We need to turn our attention to Jesus and listen closely to His voice.

“Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away. Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord” (2 Corinthians 3:16-18).

The word they translated as “open” is literally “unveiled,” and the word they translated as “changed” is literally “transfigured.”

Why has the Church been a house divided? Because God’s people haven’t been listening to His voice.

Why has the Church been a house divided? Because God’s people haven’t been listening to His voice. We have no idea how many of our thoughts and opinions have been influenced and shaped by the devil, the world, and our sinful flesh. Only the Holy Spirit can correct us. And the Holy Spirit won’t force Himself on us. He comes where He is welcomed. If we have blocked off parts of our mind and thinking as off limits to correction, He will wait for us to yield to Him. That’s why God speaks to us through the Bible, asking us to seek His face and mind. He asks us to repent, which literally means “have a new mind.” If we refuse the Holy Spirit in any part of our lives, God can’t help us. God says, “If any person thinks he or she knows ANY thing, he or she doesn’t know that thing as he or she ought to know it.”

Don’t listen to the flesh when it claims it can reform itself or improve itself. Let Jesus reign.

One thing I’ve found is that my flesh likes to pretend it can reform my flesh. The Bible tells us the flesh must diminish and die and that no amount of human effort can help in the process. The Light of the Word (His name is Jesus Christ) dispels the darkness. The Bible says Grace does the works, and grace is through faith, and faith comes by hearing God’s Word, His Rhema or utterance.

We can’t afford to be half-hearted, fearful, or lazy.

“And ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13).

Keep your eyes on Jesus, and He’ll complete His work in you. He identifies and tears down the deceptive strongholds in our minds. If we try to accomplish this work or help Him, our fleshly minds are trying to deceive us by saying they can help us get rid of themselves. We must turn to Jesus, listen to His voice, and see His vision of reality. Even then, our flesh will promise to improve and obey God, but it can’t. We need to yield to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to work through us. Then we’re doing everything in Jesus’ name.

“And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the Name of the Lord Jesus” (Colossians 3:17).

How do you think? The choice is divine revelation versus made-up stuff camouflaged as reality. Divine revelation is the ONLY way to know real reality. The human mind can’t reason to truth. Human observation is always filtered through our preconceived ideas since we can’t get outside ourselves to be objective. ONLY the Holy Spirit has the authority and power to overcome our human weaknesses and limitations. There’s a reason God tells us to seek Him.

Our enemy uses cleverly packaged news, advertising, public service messages, social media, books, magazines, education systems, movies, and TV shows to subvert us.

He uses wicked laws and proclamations. And he especially uses people we know and love who are connected to the world systems. That old serpent has been using all these means to subtly influence us throughout our lives, building strong lying convictions in our minds that seem more real to us than reality. When truth conflicts with our inner fake-realities, we think the truth is insanity. Only the Holy Spirit can dismantle these deceptive inner strongholds of the enemy. In this critical hour, we can’t afford to be double-minded. We can’t afford to doubt God.

Pull-from-air logic is the logic taught in schools.

Pull-from-air logic is the logic taught in schools. They assume truth is not possible. Then, they assume that logic must start with assumptions. Assumptions are ideas or thoughts you pull from the air and treat as if they were real. From that lack of foundation, they focus on a few fallacies and the logical forms. All that study is useless when they allow pull-from-air premises as the starting point of their logic. Logic must start with Truth or it’s a mental exercise of deception. ALL Truth is hidden in Christ Jesus. Jesus is the Light, and He gives His Light to every person. However, those who refuse to acknowledge Him, thank Him, and glorify Him for His revelation of Truth soon lose the distinction between the ideas they pull out of the air and the revelations they receive from Jesus. (Romans 1) Even when they try to interpret Scripture, they don’t realize they’re making up stuff and adding the made-up stuff to Scripture to twist and distort Scripture’s meaning. Rather, they should seek Christ, stand in His presence, and let Him speak to them through Scripture.
