Bringing Christians who are born again to maturity

Almost everything in the New Testament is written to Christians who are born again to bring them to maturity. The focus of the New Testament is on coming to spiritual maturity. The focus of the New Testament is on being conformed to the image and likeness of Jesus Christ and overcoming the fleshly nature with all its problems. Being born again is the first step, and there is no spiritual growth without new birth just as there is no natural growth without a natural birth. Salvation goes beyond being born again and includes more that escaping punishment in hell. Only a handful of verses refer specifically to being born again. Several more verses refer to being born and growing up into the fullness. But the bulk of the New Testament is about growing to fullness after you are born again. You are born by the Logos, the Word uttered by a living voice. (1 Peter 1:23) If you continue to allow that same Word to lead you, you will come to full maturity.
