Some people believe in their assumptions, but that’s just plain crazy thinking.

Some people believe in their assumptions, but that’s just plain crazy thinking.

Some people believe in their assumptions, but that’s just plain crazy thinking.

Some people believe in their assumptions, but that’s just plain crazy thinking. Assumptions come out of worldviews. Worldviews are those inner worlds people have in their minds. They aren’t real. They are make-believe. There’s some true stuff there, but who knows what’s real and what’s not real? So assumptions are coming out of this make-believe world inside the mind, and assumptions aren’t real. They are made-up stuff that might accidently be true, but you can’t know for sure. What happens when you try to think back a thousand years or six thousand years. The problem just gets crazy worse. And then there’s the fact that science and logic are biased because people are biased. People have ideas in their worldviews they think are true. They can’t get outside themselves to be objective.

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. We know the history in the Bible is true because the Holy Spirit tells us it is. We can trust the Holy Spirit, and we can trust the fact that what God tells us through the Bible is true. God made the sun, earth, planets, and stars. He made all the plants and animals. Finally, He made Adam and Eve. He told them what they should do and what they shouldn’t do. Then the devil came and told them to do what God had told them not to do. They had to make a choice, but they made a bad choice. They decided to do what the devil said instead of what God said.

A spiritual law says you become a slave of whoever you obey. Because Adam and Eve obeyed the devil, a terrible thing happened. They became slaves to Satan. Instead of being children of God, Adam and Eve became children of the devil.

Ask God to answer these questions.
Why are worldviews not real?
How can assumptions sometimes be true?
Why can’t the human mind figure out what happened a thousand or six thousand years ago without divine revelation?
Why are science and logic biased?
Why can you trust the Holy Spirit when He tells you the Bible is true?
Bonus questions:

Why did Adam and Eve become slaves to Satan?
How does your worldview influence your beliefs and assumptions?
If assumptions are unreliable and come from a make-believe world, how can you make decisions or evaluate evidence?
How are science and logic twisted by worldviews, cultural bias, presuppositions, and confirmation bias?
Why did God give Adam and Eve a choice if He knew they would disobey Him?
How did Adam and Eve’s disobedience affect humanity’s relationship with God?
If Adam and Eve became children of the devil, how do you become a child of God?

Some people lie

Some people lie

Some people lie

Some people lie and say there is no victory.
They say that God will not remove our sin.
Our God has mighty power; He will set us free.
He will complete the work He has begun.

Oh praise the Lord, (echo) the Lord our God
Oh praise the Lord, (echo) the Lord our God
We will fight and win the war and every evil foe shall fall.
Oh praise the Lord, (echo) the Lord our God
Oh praise the Lord, (echo) the Lord our God
Oh listen saints and hear that trumpet call!

Some people say that God cannot restore the Church.
They say that men’s ideas must hold sway.
Our God has mighty power; I have seen Him work.
He builds on His foundation that He laid.

Oh praise the Lord, (echo) the Lord our God
Oh praise the Lord, (echo) the Lord our God
We will fight and win the war and every evil foe shall fall.

Wandering into the never never land of imagination.

Wandering into the never never land of imagination.

Wandering into the never never land of imagination.

Some people don’t believe the first book of the Bible happened just the way it’s written. They believe the Bible is wrong or simply symbolic when it talks about the beginning, but that’s not true. It did happen just the way it’s written. The language is that of historical narrative. And the Holy Spirit testifies to the truth of every part of the Bible, including the history.

The Holy Spirit reveals the difference between a poetic phrase and a record of a historical event. And yet, some people say science or something else proved the history or some other part of the Bible to be wrong. Those are lies. Those people are wrong. They don’t understand science. Science doesn’t prove anything, and science isn’t about truth. The best science can do is to show what seems to work in the present. Other than that, it can suggest possible ideas when it wanders off into the never never land of imagination. However, many Christians have strong feelings about this and fight against the truth. “Education” and media work together as a single system like a great false prophet and many are under its spell. The false-prophet system has planted many seeds and has built strongholds in many minds.

What’s the answer? Come into the presence of the Holy Spirit and ask Him about it.

God uses science to reveal how things work. Science and logic can work pretty well to test what works. But any knowledge comes from Jesus Christ whether scientists acknowledge Him and thank Him or not. The records of what has worked in the past can give clues about what might work in the future. Neither science nor logic (the secular form) work to tell us what’s true. And they don’t work well to tell us what happened in the past. The further into the past we go, the worse they work. If you try to figure out why something happened an hour ago, science and logic can seem to work pretty well. If you try to figure out what why something happened a day ago, science and logic can seem to work, but not as well as if it was just an hour ago. When you go back a week, it gets worse, and going back a year gets even worse. Going back a hundred years, you have to depend on what people wrote at the time or interpretation of artifacts. There might be some physical evidence for some things, but you have to make assumptions. The further back in time you go, the more assumptions you have to make. At a certain point, the assumptions seem real, but they are just assumptions.

No building is stronger than its foundation.

No chain of thought is stronger than its weakest link.

Ask God to answer these questions:

Why don’t some people believe the first book of the Bible is true?
What is historical narrative the Bible uses in defining history?
What are some lies people tell about the Bible?
Why can’t science or logic tell you what’s true?
Why don’t science and logic work well for things that happened in the past?

Bonus questions:

Assumptions are things you make up and treat like they’re true. Why must ungodly people depend on assumptions when they try to figure out what happened a long time ago?
Why do some people reject (or interpret as symbolic) the history in Genesis?
What does the Holy Spirit tell you about whether the creation account in Genesis is meant to be understood literally or symbolically?
Why is so-called “evidence” that relies on assumptions (made-up stuff) no stronger than the assumptions on which it is based?
What role do the education system and media play in brainwashing people about the origins of the universe?
Why do you need the presence of the Holy Spirit when you seek answers about difficult questions?
Why are science and logic so limited to uncover truths about the past or spiritual matters?

Oh Mighty Well, Torango

Oh Mighty Well

Oh Mighty Well

Oh, mighty Well, spring forth with life – no death shall enter,
We sing His praise – Hosanna’s ring from realm to realm,
As those who walk with God upon the earth now gather,
Not to express themselves, but only showing HIM!

A great light has sprung forth in the darkness,
As the Christ proclaims this Day.
Arise, ye earth, Proclaim your birth, A new Creation,
And let that Light spring forth in you this way.

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. (Romans 15:4)

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. (Joshua 1:8)

For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. (Matthew 5:18)

Knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone’s own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. (2 Peter 1:20-21)

If He called them gods to whom the word of God came—and Scripture cannot be broken— (John 10:35)

Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so. (Acts 17:11)

I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book. (Revelation 22:18-19)

On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’” (John 7:37-38)

Then He said to them, “These are My words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” (Luke 24:44)

Ask God to answer these questions:

What does it mean to you that all Scripture is breathed out by God?
Why does the Bible tell you to meditate on Scripture day and night?
How did the Holy Spirit write the Bible through people?
Why does the Bible say Scripture cannot be broken? What does that mean?
Why does the Bible warn you not to add or take away from what God says?

Bonus questions:

Joshua 1:8 says “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night. We now understand that human effort cannot obey God’s law. We fail. How does the law of faith and grace overcome the law of sin and death?
What does Matthew 5:18 mean when it says not even the smallest part of the Law will pass away until all is accomplished?
How do you understand the statement that no prophecy of Scripture comes from personal interpretation?
Why is it important for you to examine the Scriptures and test everything you hear against them?

OH LORD, LET US TAKE AUTHORITY

OH LORD, LET US TAKE AUTHORITY

OH LORD, LET US TAKE AUTHORITY

O Lord, let us take authority,
Over sin, sickness, death and the powers of hell.
Let Your gifts and Your ministries operate
According to the working of Your will.

Let the order of Your Kingdom be established.
Let Your power and glory these vessels now fill.
Life and light, shining out, fully manifest
Through Your Body as You form us to Your will.

Nothing in science or any form of divine revelation will ever conflict with the Bible.

Nothing in science or any form of divine revelation will ever conflict with the Bible.

Nothing in science or any form of divine revelation will ever conflict with the Bible.

God gave us the Bible. He speaks to us through the Bible. Nothing in science or any form of divine revelation will ever conflict with the Bible. And yet, we don’t worship the Bible. We worship Jesus. We need Jesus to understand the Bible. Our fallen carnal minds are deceitful and desperately wicked, which is why problems arise when intellectual theologians start analyzing and rationalizing. There’s a huge difference between revelation and speculation.

When the Bible uses the term “the word of God,” it’s always using language that means God is speaking to us. It’s the word God is speaking to us. Preachers get this wrong a lot, so it can be confusing. For instance, John 1:1 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” Some preachers may say the Word is the Bible, but that makes no sense. If you substitute “the Bible” for “the Word,” you can see how it doesn’t make sense. In the beginning was the Bible? And the Bible was God? No. This was written in Greek, and the Greek words say in the beginning was the spoken word or statement or sentence. It means Father God spoke in the beginning. And this is true for every other place the Bible talks about the word of God. And yet, the Bible does also talk about the Bible. It uses the term, “Scripture.”

Here are a couple interesting Scriptures where God shows us a deeper understanding. In Matthew 4:4 it says, But He answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” Here, Jesus is quoting the Scripture that’s telling us to live by every word that comes from the mouth of God. God speaks in various ways, and He gives life by what He speaks. He speaks the Word, which is Jesus Christ. This is deep teaching, so it may require that you pray about it and ask God to explain it to you. Another time, Jesus was talking to the religious people, and He told them, “You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me. (John 5:39) They thought they could have eternal life in the Scriptures, but they needed Jesus. Jesus is the true Word of the Father.

Ask God to answer these questions.
What might you do if you had a deep conversation with a friend of yours, and you found out that your friend didn’t think a real relationship with Christ was possible, but your friend talked about believing the Bible?
Why do some preachers say the Word is the Bible and they say God doesn’t lead or teach anyone any other way?
What does the Bible mean when it says the Word was with God and was God?

Satan has been working hard to try to discredit the Bible.

Satan has been working hard to try to discredit the Bible.

Satan has been working hard to try to discredit the Bible.

In John 7:37-38, the Bible says we will have the Holy Spirit like a flowing river out of our innermost beings. Think about that! Can you feel His presence now? John 10:35 tells us “the Scripture cannot be broken,” and 2 Peter 1:20-21 declares “no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone’s own interpretation.” We don’t get to interpret the meaning of any part of Scripture. Only the Holy Spirit can reveal the meaning of Scripture or anything else. When theologians try to figure out Scripture beyond what the Holy Spirit speaks to them, they cause divisions in the church. Much of theology is mere speculation.

SCIENCE

Satan hates the Bible. He has been working hard to try to discredit it. Every branch of science was started by Bible believers, and yet, the devil has distorted science. The devil made rules for science so every scientist is supposed to say God doesn’t do anything. Scientists who openly give glory to God could lose their jobs and be unemployed. The devil has turned science into an anti-God religion. Since the scientists have made a rule that God can’t be the reason for anything, they can use circular reasoning to conclude that God can’t be the reason for anything. In reality, God is the reason for everything. He enforces all the laws of science. The laws of science are orderly. Otherwise, everything would be disorderly. It would be all mixed up, and science would be impossible.

There is a law of science called “The Law of Cause and Effect” that says every effect must have a cause. There is another law of science called “The Second Law of Thermodynamics” that says everything naturally moves toward disorder. Since everything naturally moves toward disorder, scientists should ask what is causing the laws of science. Science that artificially eliminates God has no answer to this question. God reveals that Christ is the One Who is holding everything together. He enforces what we call the laws of science.

SCHOOLS AND MEDIA

The schools and the media have been acting like a lying false prophet for a long, long time, so we must be careful about trusting them. We must obey the Holy Spirit Who tells us to trust the Bible.

THE WORD OF GOD

We can trust what God tells us through the Bible, but we don’t worship the Bible. We worship God. We could get mixed up because so many Scriptures talk about the word of God, and we might think they’re talking about the Bible. When the Bible uses the term “the word of God,” it’s always using language that means God is speaking to us.

We could get mixed up because so many Scriptures talk about the word of God, and we might think they’re talking about the Bible. When the Bible uses the term “the word of God,” it’s always using language that means God is speaking to us.

Ask God to answer these questions.
How can you have the Holy Spirit flowing like a river out of your innermost being all day every day?
What does it mean to you that the Holy Spirit is like a flowing river?
How do you know what the Bible really means?
Why does Satan hate the Bible?
How did science get changed by the devil?

Bonus questions:

Why aren’t scientists allowed to say God is the reason for anything?
Why do you worship God and not the Bible?
What strategies does Satan use to discredit Scripture?

Extra Credit:

By the mid-19th century, naturalism (God doesn’t do anything), materialism (the idea that neither God nor anything spiritual exists), and uniformitarianism (the idea that everything continues from the beginning as it is now, so no creation event or global flood with Noah and the Ark) had become dogmatically held beliefs or assumptions in most scientific fields. The ideas of molecules to humanity evolution and billions of years also became part of the belief system. Some say these are axioms of science that are not to be questioned, and every new observation must be interpreted according to this confirmation bias. Why has this set up a condition where questioning these anti-God assumptions is considered evil and wrong even though these assumptions are nothing but unsupported claims that have no basis in reality?
Since the prevailing assumptions used in science tend to turn science into an anti-God religion, how can Christians reconcile science and faith in a way that honors God without compromising with Satan?
Since the Bible always refers to God speaking when it talks about “God’s word” and most theologians have missed this, what is the distinction between believing the Bible and worshiping God Himself?

We can trust the Bible, but we don’t worship the Bible. We worship God. We could get mixed up because so many Scriptures talk about the word of God, and we might think they’re talking about the Bible. When the Bible uses the term “the word of God,” it’s always using language that means God is speaking to us.

NO OBSERVATION OF ANY KIND CONFLICTS WITH THE BIBLE

NO OBSERVATION OF ANY KIND CONFLICTS WITH THE BIBLE

NO OBSERVATION OF ANY KIND CONFLICTS WITH THE BIBLE

It’s true that no observation conflicts with the Bible. However, we can’t use the fact that no observation conflicts with the Bible to prove that we can trust the Bible. If you talk to an atheist, the atheist will tell you that you committed a fallacy known as “appeal to ignorance” (or argumentum ad ignorantiam). Those are big words, but it means someone claims that something is true simply because no one proved it false or something is false because no one proved it true.

So, it’s not proof. It’s a pretty good indication, though. The Bible transforms lives. Millions of people have experienced deep personal change through its message. The Bible teaches about God’s love for us and His plan for our lives. People find peace, purpose, and hope by following its teachings. And yet, that doesn’t prove the Bible’s true either. There’s only one way we know we can trust the Bible. We know we can trust what the Bible says because the Holy Spirit tells us we can trust the Bible. If we didn’t know God, we couldn’t know the Bible is true. We know God, and He tells us the Bible is true. Not only that, but He even speaks to us through the Bible.

The Bible is inspired by God. The Bible tells us that Jesus said “For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished” in Matthew 5:18. In Luke 24:44, Jesus said, “These are My words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” Jesus also said, “You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me (John 5:39).

Ask God to answer these questions.
What does “appeal to ignorance” mean?
Can you prove the Bible is true just because no one has proven it wrong?
How does the Bible change people’s lives?
Why can you trust the Bible?
How does the Holy Spirit prove the Bible is true?
Bonus questions:

What does it mean that the Bible is inspired by God?
Why is it impossible to understand the Bible without first knowing Jesus and receiving this revelation from Him?
How does the Holy Spirit prove the truth of the Bible to believers?
What does it mean that God speaks to you through the Bible?

Holy Spirit speaking through the Bible.

Holy Spirit speaking through the Bible.

Many people think when the Bible talks about “the word of God” it’s talking about the Bible. That’s not true. And yet, the Bible is God’s word. That sounds like a contradiction, but it’s not.

The Bible is the word of God because it’s one of the ways God speaks. While there are many ways God speaks, no other revelation will ever conflict with the Bible. God never conflicts with Himself. For example, Acts 17:11 lets us know we should use the Bible to check if something is true or false. One word of caution. It’s very easy to get confused between our interpretation of Scripture and Scripture itself. Allow the Holy Spirit to correct your deepest preconceptions and interpretations of Scripture. Scripture says if you think you understand anything, you don’t understand it as you ought to understand it. Two words are used in the New Testament: “rhema” and “logos.” The word “rhema” refers to God’s leading whether through the Bible or any other means by which God speaks. The only Scripture where “logos” seems to refer to the Scripture is Mark 7:13, but even that is not explicit. We know this. The Bible never speaks to us without the Holy Spirit speaking through the Bible.

We know the Bible is reliable because the Holy Spirit confirms this fact to us whenever we ask Him about it. Nothing that has been observed in science has ever conflicted with Scripture, but many tricky lies and false ideas have conflicted with Scripture. The same is true of archeology or other areas where humans try to explore reality. Over the years, historical discoveries have consistently confirmed the Bible’s accuracy in describing events, places, and people. Archaeological findings and ancient manuscripts support the Bible’s reliability, showing that it’s not just a collection of stories, but a record of real events. Experts and scientists often present their opinions as if those opinions were facts, and those opinions often conflict with the Bible. Later, we find out the opinions of the scientists and experts were wrong, and then they come up with new wrong opinions and errors. Despite being written thousands of years ago, the Bible is still true today. Nothing real has ever been shown to conflict with the Bible. Some people say they are right to distrust the Bible, but those people don’t know the difference between reality and made-up stuff.

No observation conflicts with the Bible. No divine revelation of any kind conflicts with the Bible. Divine revelation often conflicts with interpretations of the Bible.

Ask God to answer these questions:

When the Bible refers to “the word of God,” how is that different from saying “the word of God” is the Bible?
How has the Holy Spirit shown you the Bible can be trusted?
What do you do when so-called “scientific discoveries,” “theories,” and “expert opinions” conflict with Scripture?
Why does Divine revelation often conflict with interpretations of the Bible?
When the Scripture uses the phrase “the word of God,” what is it talking about?

Bonus questions:

How do you know science or history will never prove the Bible wrong?
Why do some people not trust the Bible?
How could listening to ungodly council and the opinion of godless thinkers distort your thinking?
Since most of what comes through the education systems, news media, and entertainment is godless, what does God tell you right now about those things?
