THE ANOINTING OF BEING

THE ANOINTING OF BEING

THE ANOINTING OF BEING

We are entering the anointing of being by each of us becoming the ministry (Christ), which God is creating in us. Not only is God forming Christ in us completely, but He is also preparing a specific place for each of us in Christ the body. (Jn. 14:2-3) As we gather to worship or pray together, we build up Christ in each other. (1 Co. 12:26) That’s true, but we are also BEING JOINED as parts of Christ the body. (1 Co. 1:10) The same thing that happens individually as the Holy Spirit leads us and we yield to the Holy Spirit in our daily lives now happens in the meeting. The entire assembly is building Christ in each member when everyone has a psalm or a teaching, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. (1 Co. 14:26) We assemble ourselves, not just getting together but fitting ourselves together into Christ. (He. 10:25) This is the in-Christ experience. (1 Co. 1:30) Christ the body is a bit like a jigsaw puzzle in that each piece of a puzzle must go in the right place. Some pieces look like they would fit in a certain place, but you would have to force them and it ruins the picture. It takes patience to get every piece in place, but the result is beautiful when you finish the puzzle. In the same way, you will never be fully satisfied and happy until God completes His work in you. The difference is that a jigsaw puzzle doesn’t do any work, but Christ the body is the functioning and dynamic Kingdom of God. It’s Christ coming in the flesh and appearing on the earth. (2 Jn. 1:7)
