Descent into Darkness

Some people refuse to listen to God. They refuse to acknowledge Him, glorify Him, and thank Him for His flowing wisdom and guidance in their lives. God turns them over to their fallen minds. They didn’t want the Light, so God begins to withdraw His Light from them.

They descend into darkness in a downward spiral. They won’t listen to God’s leading, which makes them more faithless. With less faith, the flesh takes control and acts on whatever it wants to do. By submitting to the fleshly nature in this way, they are submitting to Satan instead of Christ. As they submit to Satan, Satan is sowing his seeds in their minds. Satan’s seeds are lies. These lies bring them into stronger chains of slavery to sin and the sinful nature. The sinful nature is stronger then. It becomes a stronghold that’s worse than before and more resistant to God’s leading.

Here’s the downward spiral. First, someone won’t listen to God. That means you have less faith. With less faith, the flesh does what it wants and obeys Satan. Satan plant’s his seeds, and they grow and bear evil fruit. The seeds take hold and become strongholds. The person is more in bondage and less willing to listen to God. And so, the cycle repeats. Here is the downward spiral from Scripture.

Logic and reason are part of God’s plan, but logic and reason are impossible without the leading of the Holy Spirit. Some godly people have seemed to take a position against logic and reason, but God is not irrational, unreasonable, or illogical. However, God does stand against the world’s false logic and reason since it isn’t based on truth. God is logical and rational, but He opposes the false teachings about logic and reason taught is almost all schools today. The schools are teaching that logic and reason don’t need to be based on truth. They teach that there is no truth. They teach that everything is relative. Here’s why they teach such insanity. All truth is hidden in Christ, and they don’t want Christ. No one can know the truth without Christ. Without truth, no one can think rationally. Instead of thinking rationally, they just make up stuff and call the made-up stuff true. Then, they use smokescreen fallacies to hide their flimflam. I was deceived by this system. Because I had been brainwashed, I resisted the Holy Spirit when He first revealed this problem to me. And even Atheists know about this problem but don’t want to face it. Why do we argue with each other?

Why do we argue with each other? We argue about theology, politics, science, and everything else. Why? Most of what is called “rational” or “knowledge” isn’t knowledge of truth. It’s never rational to base thinking on made-up stuff. The human mind can fill in the blanks. It can make up stuff to complete the missing parts of what we don’t know.

We say, “Here is what we observed. What conclusions can we draw from this?” Of course, we have to make some assumptions even if we don’t realize we’re assuming anything. They seem like common sense. Whether we call them assumptions, axioms, presuppositions, suppositions, or common sense, they are all made-up stuff. And we make assumptions automatically and unconsciously. One person assumes one thing while another person assumes something different, so they come to different conclusions. What seems obvious to one (because of hidden assumptions) is nonsense to someone else. Then an argument begins.

Truth is different from assumptions. Truth can only come from a Person Who knows all things, can’t lie, and is willing to reveal the truth to us. There’s only One Who fits this description: Jesus Christ. He reveals the truth. He is the Light that lights every person. Demons lie. Demons plant ideas in our minds that become strongholds in our minds if we entertain their lies. Those strongholds are the source of assumptions. They seem real, but they are lies. We sin when we are drawn away by our own fleshly lusts, those strongholds that were created by demons sometime in the past. Jesus Christ comes to you to expose your strongholds and destroy them. However, you must acknowledge Him that He has come to yo. And you must believe that you will find Him if you diligently seek Him.

Beware of what the establishment says. God doesn’t go with the flow. God doesn’t conform Himself to worldly ideas. The three enemies are the devil, the world, and our sinful fleshly nature.

Beware the advice of experts, professionals, intellectuals, elitists, and those who claim to know.

Beware the advice of experts, professionals, intellectuals, elitists, and those who claim to know. This is not to say that you ignore all knowledge. Just remember that much of what people accept as fact isn’t fact at all. Today’s facts become tomorrow’s old wives’ tales and the mistakes of the past. However, God is teaching us to avoid ungodly counsel: those words that are repeated but that the Holy Spirit never gave. He’s looking for those willing to come into a relationship so close that they hear His voice clearly. Now we see as if looking into a mirror in the dark, but then, face to face. Expect the body of Christ to begin functioning. We won’t always be led around by the opinions of those who aren’t listening to the Spirit. Even in the church, many conflicting opinions exist. However, the Holy Spirit gives a consistent message. When the body of Christ is fully functioning according to the pattern of Scripture, wisdom will flow among the members of this body.
