Healing

Scripture is clear on healing.

“For I am the LORD that healeth thee.” (Exodus 15:26)

“Bless the LORD, O my soul… who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases.” (Psalm 103:2-3)

“And Jesus went about all Galilee… healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.” (Matthew 4:23)

“With his stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5)

“Then he called his twelve disciples… and he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.” (Luke 9:1-2)

“Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.” (Mark 5:34)

“Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him… and the prayer of faith shall save the sick.” (James 5:14-15) This is a special case and applies to the order of elders. The order of elders is scarcely found in the church, but God will restore it.

Further study on elders if you are interested (Acts 14:23, Titus 1:5, 1 Timothy 3:1–7, Titus 1:6–9, Acts 20:17, 28, 1 Peter 5:1–2)

“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed.” (James 5:16)

“To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit.” (1 Corinthians 12:9)

“They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” (Mark 16:17-18)

2 Corinthians 12:7-9 Paul was not healed of his “thorn in the flesh,” and some theologians say the thorn in the flesh was a physical infirmity. The Bible doesn’t say that. The way Paul writes, the thorn could well have been the painful memories of the way he tortured and killed Christians and the accusations of demons against him.

Some theologians say God no longer heals and that these Scriptures don’t apply anymore. On the other hand, many Christians have been blessed with true healing ministries. Many of those who are currently blessed are trying to teach other Christians how God wants them to walk in God’s healing Anointing. Seek the Lord and see whether He wants you to be effective when you pray for the sick or suffering.

Ask God to answer these questions:

  • What does it mean that God heals?
  • Does God heal all diseases?
  • How did Jesus heal people?
  • Why does the Bible say, “With His stripes we are healed”?
  • What did Jesus send His disciples to do?

Bonus Questions:

  • What does God’s leading, faith, and grace have to do with being healed?
  • What should someone do if they are sick?
  • Why do elders pray for sick people?
  • What is the gift of healing?

LORD JESUS CHRIST BE MY PEACE

Let Your rich Anointing flow.
Calm my soul and take away all fear.
Let that peaceful river flow.
Let me now draw near.

Lord, Jesus Christ, be my peace.
Lord, Jesus Christ, be my resting place.
Lord, Jesus Christ, be my quietness,
As I seek Your face.

Cleanse my soul from every sin.
Touch my heart, and make me white as snow.
Wash me so I’m clean within.
Make the darkness go.

Lord, Jesus Christ, be my peace.

CHRISTIANS WALKING FAR BELOW THEIR INHERITANCE

CHRISTIANS WALKING FAR BELOW THEIR INHERITANCE

CHRISTIANS WALKING FAR BELOW THEIR INHERITANCE

“These signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not harm them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will be made well.” (Luke 24:17-18)

Many Christians are seeking God and asking why we aren’t seeing this level of authority and power in the church. Some say this isn’t for us today, but this is twisting Scripture.

“And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” (John 14:13)

There was a man who was working on an ambulance. He prayed for the patients on the ambulance for about nine months and not one person was healed. Then he discovered a secret. It seems every breakthrough with God starts with hearing God’s voice, and that’s what happened for this praying medic.

If we pray in Jesus’ name, we are signing His name to our prayer. If He isn’t praying the prayer through us, we are praying without authority. We have no authority. That’s why hearing God’s voice is the first step in prayer. He will tell us how to pray and what to do. Once He speaks, faith comes. Faith gives us authority for whatever God said. And faith gives us access to God’s grace. God’s grace is His power to do the work. Part of powerful prayer is releasing this power. Authoritative, powerful prayer follows the “by-grace-through-faith” pattern.

What is the “by-grace-through-faith” pattern? It is the simplicity that is in Christ Jesus. The Father speaks to us. We listen to His voice, and faith comes for whatever the Father said. We receive that faith and that gives us access to God’s grace. God’s grace does whatever the Father said. It’s that simple.

Much has been written about prayer from people who have broken through using prayer. God wants you to pray, and He wants you to pray effectively. He wants you to receive what you pray for. That’s never easy for anyone. Never give up.

Ask God to answer these questions.
• What does it mean that Christians are walking far below their inheritance?
• While some Christians are seeing many miracles, others are not. Why don’t some Christians see miracles?
• Does picking up snakes or drinking poison mean you should do dangerous things?
• How do you learn to know when God is really speaking to you when you pray?
• Why do you have to hear God’s voice to pray with authority?

Bonus questions:
• Can’t you just pray for anything?
• How do you pray “in Jesus’ name”?
• Why didn’t the man working on the ambulance see anyone healed at first?
• What does faith have to do with prayer and God’s grace?
• How can you “release God’s power” in your prayer?
• If prayer is so important, why is it sometimes hard to keep praying and not give up?

HOW TO TRULY REPENT

HOW TO TRULY REPENT

HOW TO TRULY REPENT

Merriam Webster says repent means “to turn from sin and dedicate oneself to the amendment of one’s life; to feel regret or contrition; to change one’s mind,” Those three definitions are good and you don’t choose one or the other. They go together.

The problem lies in doing those three. Your carnal (sarx), religious mind is gung ho. It volunteers to manage the project. It will help you turn from sin and amend your life. It will go into mourning over past sins and even hold you in a state of constant condemnation if you like. Alternately, it can flippantly say, “I’m sorry,” while it continues to sin. It can employ New Age or positive mental attitude techniques to change your mind. None of that creates the transformation God has planned for you.

The Greek word for “repent” is μετανοέω (metanoeō), which is derived from two parts: meta (meaning “after” or “beyond”) and noeō (meaning “to think” or “to perceive”). Together, it essentially means “to change one’s mind” or “to have a new mind.”

Since you know something about how God is transforming you, repenting is a transformation from your carnal mind to a new mind, the Mind that is Christ in you. The old carnal mind can’t simply have a new way of looking at things or a new attitude. It must die away and be replaced by a brand new Mind, Christ in you. Christ is in your spirit. Now, the battle is for your mind. God is redeeming your mind now with your cooperation. God will fully redeem your body later.

How? The way is simple. Stop listening to your carnal mind that follows your flesh, demonic entities, and the fleshly and demonic ideas of the culture. Stand in God’s Presence. Let His glory, His essence, His being overwhelm you. Listen to His voice so faith comes. And yield to the power of His grace so His grace does His works and says His words through you. That’s as simple as it gets. That’s how you repent. It will change how you think and how you act in every aspect of life. You will begin to think, speak, and act with the authority and power of the living God.

Ask God to answer these questions.
What does “repent” mean?
Why can’t your mind just decide to stop sinning on its own?
What is a carnal mind?
What does it mean for your old mind to die?
How can Christ be in you?

Bonus Questions

What does it mean to stand in God’s Presence?

Evolutionism is a fairytale for adults that’s held up by a political money system that labels itself as “science.” So are the unscientific and irrational dogmas of scientism, naturalism, materialism, uniformitarianism, relativism, rationalism, and socialism.

However, Jesus Christ is a Person. He is not a religion even though people tend to make religions around Him. He is real and knowable. All who sincerely and persistently seek Him find Him. Everything good and rational comes from Him. Without Him, there is no good and no true sanity. I invite you to know Him.

Strongholds

Strongholds

Strongholds

Different types of strongholds exist. All strongholds have been created by demonic activity. Everything evil can be attributed to Satan and his demonic minions.

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Ephesians 6:12)

Satan tempted Eve and Adam. When Adam obeyed Satan and began the human problem that spread to all world systems since God had given Adam rulership over the earth. Now, Adam gave Satan rulership over himself.

“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” (Romans 5:12)

Some strongholds are direct opposition by demonic forces.

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Ephesians 6:12)

Other strongholds are created in culture with systems that allow or promote evil and work to oppress those who are walking with God. These range from government institutions to company politics or even church politics.

“For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.” (1 John 2:16)

Still other strongholds are deep inside you. These have been created as you were living our life. They may be some lies you believe. They were constructed by demons who took advantage of you and lied to you. Often they lied through media, education, or people you knew.

“In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; and that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.” (2 Timothy 2:25-26)

Your personal strongholds could have been created by various kinds of trauma. The trouble with strongholds is that you often don’t even know they’re holding you back, but they work in the dark. The don’t seem like strongholds. They usually seem like reality. They are very deceptive

Some strongholds are emotional hurts.

Psalm 147:3 “He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.”

“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)

Ask God to answer these questions.

What does it mean that you don’t wrestle against flesh and blood?
How can systems like governments or companies create strongholds?

I beheld the heavens opened up

I beheld the heavens opened up

I beheld the heavens opened up

Lo, I Looked

Lo, I looked and I beheld the heavens opened up,
Then I heard a voice, the Righteous One appeared.
Death destroyed, and on His head the victor’s crown did rest,
Now the great I AM comes forth, His Seed to bless.

Yes, I’ll do Thy Will, proclaiming all Thou art to men,
Walking in Thy love where angels fear to tread.
Bringing low the kingdoms built by the carnal man,
Lifting up the Life that now does dwell within.

When you seek God or pray, your carnal mind will fight you.

When you seek God or pray, your carnal mind will fight you.

When you seek God or pray, your carnal mind will fight you.

When you seek God or pray, your carnal mind will fight you. Many strongholds in your mind can interfere with your prayer, and you don’t receive the thing you pray for. Strongholds are set in place by demonic activity. Demons look for opportunities. The opportunities for these strongholds mainly fit into these categories: sin, listening to bad influences, listening to various forms of media, listening to lying teachers, New Age or occult techniques, or allowing doubt. They may include being wounded from relationships, traumatic events, identity issues, life transitions. If you allow unforgiveness, bitterness, unresolved fear, anger, grief, guilt, and feelings of disappointments to invade and stay, this could be an opportunity for demonic activity. Other factors might be unanswered prayer, feeling distant from god, family dysfunction, or false beliefs. Emotional patterns may have been passed down from parents or ancestors. Some people have suffered from unmet needs from childhood. Any of these can create a stronghold in your mind that God must eliminate. Sometimes, demons will even try to get in directly to plant ideas in your mind or whisper some nonsense. Demons can even suggest things when you’re praying. It’s a way to disrupt your faith and keep you from success in prayer. They must be rebuked and kicked out.

Strongholds may flash into your mind when you’re seeking God or praying. That’s the time to deal with them. Ask God what you should do since each one will be different. In general, what has to happen is that you reject the stronghold by the authority and power of Jesus Christ and get rid of it. Then, you fill that void with Jesus Christ so you make forward progress with God rather than what the devil had planned for you. God’s glory is within you if you are born again. You can direct His essence and glory to deal with any spiritual attack.

This song is an example of a prayer you might pray.

This stronghold that opposed me just now,
I renounce it and reject it in the name of Jesus.
burn it up with Your Spirit fire.
Purge it from me, I don’t need it.
Then I fill that void with You,
And let Your glory shine.
With authority, full authority with faith and grace divine.

Ask God to answer these questions.
What is a stronghold in your mind?
Why does your mind fight you when you pray?
What are examples of strongholds that can stop you from praying?
How do strongholds get into you mind?

What does it mean to rebuke a demon?

Bonus questions:

How can demons suggest ideas in you mind?
How do you know if a stronghold is in your mind when you’re praying?
What does it mean to fill the void with Jesus Christ?
How can you ask God to help you get rid of a stronghold?
Why do you want to be filled with the Spirit of Christ?

Lo, I Am Coming

Lo, I Am Coming

Lo, I Am Coming

Lo, I am coming,
Ye shall look for Me again,
This time appearing,
Unto salvation without sin.

Why stand ye gazing?
I have come and now you see,
In these clouds of Glory,
Shall ye now appear with Me.

Bob and Charlotte Torango

It’s very important we see Him as He is. He is a body on earth in submission to the Head in heaven. For those who have given themselves to Jesus Christ, I see in you the glory of my King, and I love you with the love of the Lord.

How can I grow my discernment?

False discernment exists. When a Christian has been thoroughly indoctrinated in a certain theology, anything outside of that theology can feel unreal and even evil.

Spend time in the presence of God. Be mindful of His presence even when you are busy. Also, set time aside specifically to seek Him. It’s not time wasted. Ask Him to show you where you have been deceived. Ask Him what lies you believe about various things, and ask Him to show you the truth. Just spending a lot of time with Him will give you a sense of Him and His nature so you know when someone is speaking by Him.

Avoid voices that are not of God. The media and education system acts as the false prophet of the apocalypse. The entertainment industry is almost completely of the wrong spirit. That includes music, TV, movies, and the Internet. It’s not enough to know the difference. Once you know, you must avoid the false and spend time with the genuine. Failing to do this will dull your spiritual senses.

Spend time reading the Bible. Make friends with mature Christians. They may not always be right, but they have the Spirit of Christ. Seek out those who want to spend their time with Jesus. If you spend your time with light and fluffy, lukewarm, Christians who are more interested in things like sports and entertainment than spiritual things, you will end up being lukewarm without discernment. Pray for lukewarm Christians and ask God how you can help build them up and turn their minds toward knowing Christ better. You need wisdom in this, since the lukewarm already have rejected the leading of the Holy Spirit in this area and are often easily offended.

When God leads you to do something, allow the Holy Spirit to do it through you. This builds up Christ in you and diminishes the carnal mind.

When God brings to mind a stronghold, deal with it immediately. It may be a grudge, guilt, trauma, or one of hundreds of other strongholds. The Holy Spirit lets you know it’s inhibiting your growth. Ask God how to deal with it, and follow what He says. In most cases, it’s enough to reject the stronghold and ask God to remove it while filling the void with His essence and glory.
