LIFE IS FOR LIVING

LIFE IS FOR LIVING

LIFE IS FOR LIVING

Life is for living, its joys and its tears.
Life is not for frustration and fears,
For God never planned that His people bow down
To the gods of discouragement and depressions around.

CHORUS:
Let not your heart be wearied of life,
Defeated by trials, tribulations and strife.
Trust in the Lord every day
And trials and testings will strengthen your faith.

How can our hearts be lifted in praise
When conquered by worry and defeat dogs our days.
The scriptures declare that conquer’rs are we,
Through Christ, our Saviour, from defeat we are free.

HOW TO KNOW IT’S GOD SPEAKING

HOW TO KNOW IT’S GOD SPEAKING

HOW TO KNOW IT’S GOD SPEAKING

When God speaks, you will have a sense of agape love, caring, authority, wisdom, understanding, and peace. The Christ in you gives His approval within you. Demonic voices lack authority even if they’re powerful, loud, and threatening. They are often condemning or else condoning continuing in sin. Demons often glorify something or someone other than God. If you’ve ever watched a show depict demons, the fallen culture knows how to convey that spirit. That feeling of weirdness, fear, or cleverness is often but not always present when demons are involved. The carnal mind lacks any substance but reasons based on worldview and opinions that may even seem rational when they are irrational. They’re irrational because they aren’t basing their thinking on truth or they’re adding made-up stuff to truth and coming out with something that lacks substance. You’ve been listening to these voices all along and may have just thought you were reasoning. That’s why God’s voice may sound similar in some ways to the way you’ve been reasoning. If you can’t get peace on a matter, keep asking God about it until He tells you what’s wrong and puts you on the right track.

The first chapter of Paul’s letter to the Romans explains that we can lose that discernment if we refuse to acknowledge God when He speaks and glorify Him. That’s the danger in taking the glory for yourself (pride) when God gives you wisdom. At the same time, we gain sharper discernment when we acknowledge Him.

“But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained their senses to distinguish good from evil.” (Hebrews 5:14)

As you listen to the Holy Spirit and allow God do work through you, Christ is built up in you, and the carnal mind is diminished.

The Holy Spirit never conflicts with Scripture. He doesn’t twist Scripture to fit a doctrine as so many theologies do.

Look at the fruit. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22)

Ask God to answer these questions.
What does agape love mean?
What do demonic voices sound like?
Why do demons try to make you glorify something other than God?
What is the carnal mind?
How is the carnal mind different from God’s voice?

Bonus Questions:

How do you get better at knowing what is good and evil?
Why does God’s voice sometimes seem the same as when you’ve been reasoning?
What does it mean to lose discernment if you don’t glorify God?
What are the fruits of the Spirit, and how can you see them in your life?
How does listening to the Holy Spirit help Christ grow in you?

LIES

Lies

Lies

Political correctness is now thrust before your eyes.
You see how folks have taken truth and mixed it up with lies.
And in this way have made the right seem like it is not right,
And made the evil seem like good and darkness seem like light.

A lie has got a purpose and is used by the unwise,
Promoting ways that do not work has been the role of lies.
Creating mass confusion with conclusions lies can draw,
And seek to use coercion, to enforce their lies in law.

Some don’t want to know Jesus and His great forgiving way.
Some like to walk where it is night and do not like the day.
And some will try to tell you that you should not speak of Him.
Some try to make you fit their mold and make your light grow dim.

And now you have to pay to have your kids all brainwashed too.
You send your kids to schools that teach them things that are not true.
And if you teach creation and the flood, some shake with fits,
Who knowingly are ignorant, like prior hypocrites.

The evolutionists all know the lies that they have told.
They know that they have fooled themselves with snake oil they have sold.
They know that God created all, but yet they’re truly sly.
To them, God is unthinkable; they think they have to lie.

They say that fossils show the rocks to be so very old,
The rocks then date the fossils as these “scientists” have told.
This reasoning is circular, but evolution’s tale,
This tale that cannot be true, is still told without fail.

And they deny the mighty flood, though evidence is there.
That God would judge the evil is a thought that they can’t bear.
And so they just ignore it and do all they can to keep
The truth from being published. As they sow, they soon will reap.

And now they say that they made life . . . right in the lab they claim.
Now there’s a lie so big that they should hang their heads in shame.
But yet they still proclaim it, even teach it in the schools.
You can’t believe they’d teach this, much less put it in the news.

Yes, these and many other lies they tell you every day.
For there is just one thing they want; to simply have their way.
You wonder that they feel no guilt, but guilt does not apply.
They do not see a law that says it’s wrong for them to tell a lie.

And every so-called evidence that’s used to prove these lies,
Has been exposed to be a clever ruse these folks devise.
And media and schools controlled by evolutionists.
All try to make you disbelieve Almighty God exists.

The media, the public schools, the newspapers all blitz
You with this constant rhetoric with great pizzazz and glitz,
And yet there is no evidence; in truth, there cannot be.
For science that is true reveals that God made you and me.

The fact that Jesus came to earth and died and rose again,
Is verified historically beyond all known events,
And never was an error found in Scripture’s hallowed page,
But some poor folks say otherwise. Why do the heathen rage?

All so-called evidences used today to prove these lies,
Are non-existent and when challenged quickly vaporize.
And yet the perpetrators still continue to insist.
They’d just feel better if Almighty God did not exist.

If God were not almighty, the Creator of all things,
And everything were relative, then humans would be kings.
And every person, then, a little god who need not serve
The God above, nor live in love, nor get what they deserve.

And so this lie is told, which leads to other lies as well,
Like racism, or P. C. bunk, or saying, “There’s no hell.”
The lies they tell you day by day are hidden in the news,
Concealed as entertainment to relax and to amuse.

For human nature is so weak and self-will is so strong,
And flesh has been pre-programmed to keep doing what is wrong,
But God gave a redeemer, Jesus Christ, His own dear Son,
That you may be born by His blood to serve the Holy One.

Now that you’ve read this poem I just wonder what you’ll do.
I wonder if you know Him and the peace He has for you.
I wonder if you’ll enter in to wash your sins away.
I wonder if you’ll take the gift He offers you today.

The Still Small Voice

The Still Small Voice

The Still Small Voice

Almost everyone wonders about the “still small voice.” That comes from a Scripture where Elijah wanted to hear from God. A strong wind came, then an earthquake, and finally a fire, but God was not in the wind, the earthquake, or the fire. Next came a still small voice speaking to Elijah.

God speaks in many ways. In Scripture, He speaks a lot through visions or words of prophecy. The New Testament says you all may prophesy one by one. Often, He speaks through intuition or an inner voice of confirmation. He tells us to ask Him and He will answer us. We can’t always dictate how He will speak.

God speaks to every person. He speaks to atheists. Demons also speak to every person. The carnal minds of every person speak. You hear your own carnal mind and the voices of others: friends, entertainment, news, teachers, and many others. That means we’re used to hearing God’s voice, demon’s voices, carnal self-talk, and the carnal talk of others. By the way, positive mental attitude empowering statements, motivational phrases, uplifting declarations, and mindset-shifting mantras are all carnal self-talk and will stand in the way of hearing from God. All of these may seem like our own thoughts, but God gives discernment to know the difference between His thoughts and our own thoughts or a demon’s thoughts.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD. (Isaiah 55:8)

You know the difference by the Holy Spirit. Something can sound reasonable, but you have a sense that something is wrong. The Holy Spirit lets you know. You can call it a hunch, an inner check, an intuition. As you get to know the Holy Spirit, you will recognize His warnings.

When God tells you something important, He will usually back it up by saying it through several means. You may see something in nature that becomes a spiritual analogy. Then, a Christian friend will say the same thing, and you’ll sense the inner affirmation of the Holy Spirit. Later, as you’re reading the Bible, a verse jumps off the page that confirms the revelation. That’s just one example of how God may reveal something and confirm it several ways.

Ask God to answer these questions.
What is the still small voice?
How does God speak to people today?
What is prophecy?
What does it mean that you can’t always dictate how God will speak?
How can you tell the difference between God’s voice and other voices?

Bonus Questions:

What is carnal self-talk?
How does the Holy Spirit help you know what is right or wrong?
What does it mean when a Bible verse jumps off the page for you?
Why does God use different ways to confirm something important?

Liberty! What Is It?

Liberty! What Is It?

Liberty! What Is It?

Liberty! What is it? What does it imply?
Lose the chains that bind you. To them, you may die.

Live to Him Who frees you. This is liberty.
Live to Him Who gives life. This will set you free.

Freedom comes at last now. Free from what to what?
Do you have some burdens? Doors you’d like to shut?

There are just two choices, choosing one of two.
Every choice you’re making sets your course for you.

All the world’s divided. Some are free from God.
Some are free to serve God, free from Satan’s rod.

If you serve your own will, then you are its slave,
If you will receive Him, Christ is there to save.

Freedom from the Savior makes you slave to sin.
Freedom from your own flesh means you’re serving Him.

Some are moving with God. Some move on their own.
Some have got a soft heart. Some have hearts of stone.

Those who truly love God live to seek His face,
Listen to Him speaking, walking in His grace.

THE BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH WAY

THE BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH WAY

THE BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH WAY

Many would love to hear God speak but aren’t convinced God will speak. Not believing God will speak is unbelief. The same is true for answering prayers. Spend time in God’s presence. The enemy of your soul will try to convince you that you are wasting your time. There is no more valuable thing to do than being in God’s presence and listening to His voice.

Faith comes by hearing God’s leading, teaching, or correcting voice. Faith gives you access into God’s grace. God’s grace is God’s power to do God’s work through you. It’s God’s amazing power to do whatever God commanded you to do.

God will shape you into the image and likeness of Christ. He will lead you in righteousness and make you invincible to the attacks of the enemy if you continue in God’s presence. You will come in and go out for now, but God’s plan is that you come into the Holy of Holies with Him and never go out again. He wants you to flow in His love, wisdom, and knowledge, which are only available in Him.

You are not going it alone. Go in the strength of the body of Christ. Discern Christ’s body. If you don’t regularly attend a church, ask God to lead you to one. Don’t rush out and join a church. Don’t pay attention to religious marketing campaigns. Read 1 Corinthians 14 to see what a church service should look at and you won’t be impressed with the entertainment churches. Consider a home church. See if God is leading you to start a church in your home but be careful of preacher’s itch. It happens easily. Pride creeps in. Much of what we call “church” is centered on human traditions, fleshly desires, and egos rather than the command of God. Ask God to show you what is not in Scripture that you see in the churches. Ask God to show you what is in Scripture that is not in churches.

See Christ in your brothers and sisters. Everyone has a fleshly nature, but that is not the identity of Christ’s body. Each one is a ministry. The ministry in each one is Christ within, the hope of glory. Discern the body of Christ.

“And we all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are progressively being transformed into His image from one degree of glory to even more glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit” (2 Corinthians 3:18).

That’s the by grace through faith way.

Ask God to answer these questions.
What does it mean for you to hear God speak?
Why do some people think God won’t speak to them?
Since all love, goodness, wisdom, and knowledge are in Christ, what happens when you don’t stay in Christ’s presence all the time?
What is the most valuable thing you can do with your time?
How does God shape you to be like Jesus?

Bonus questions:

LET’S KEEP WALKING ON WITH JESUS

LET’S KEEP WALKING ON WITH JESUS

LET’S KEEP WALKING ON WITH JESUS

And now whoever will may come,
And we know Jesus is always the door.
No matter what you’ve overcome,
There is always, always more.

CHORUS
So let’s keep walking on with Jesus,
In the way that Enoch trod.
Now let’s keep walking in the Spirit,
In the Kingdom of our God.

I know I only know in part,
And I know nothing as I ought.
As part by part I yield my heart,
I am by Spirit led and taught.

CHORUS

At each new great and narrow gate,
We must believe the Lord again,
Unloading unessential weight,
Weakness, error, pride, and sin.

CHORUS

And now we must release the weight,
Of all those dead old religious forms.
Tradition, malice, and debate,
Our minds He must transform.

How does faith come?

How does faith come?

How does faith come?

What is faith? “Faith” is translated from the Greek word, “pistis,” which means belief. The verb form is “pisteo,” which means believe.

How does faith come? No one comes to Jesus on their own. The Father God must draw them. (John 6:44) Faith comes by hearing the word (rhema) of God. “Word” is translated from the Greek word, “rhema,” which means a spoken sentence or statement. The Father leads you, and faith comes. It’s a gift from God to you.

With any blessing, the enemy of our souls will oppose what God is doing. Jesus Christ is real and knowable. All who seek Him find Him. He leads, teaches, and corrects all who follow Him. The enemy hates this.

Tactic 1: Atheism or agnosticism that says: God doesn’t exist. You aren’t experiencing what you are experiencing. You are hallucinating. Prove it. Only that which can be scientifically tested is rational.

These are only a few of the many lies the enemy will tell. The enemy will make fun of you. Each statement a skeptic makes is a bare assertion that is irrational since the human mind can’t reason to truth. Without truth there is no rational thought. But you know God. No argument against the reality of God and His leading is based on truth, so all such arguments are irrationl. He proved Himself to you.

A rationalized faith is worthless.

Tactic 2: Cessationism. That was for the apostolic age. The Bible says prophecy will cease.

The Bible verses used are taken out of context.

If the enemy can’t eliminate divine leading entirely, he will try to limit your freedom in this area with many rules. Often, this will be done with subtle twisting of Scripture. You will need divine wisdom to detect the problem.

As a last resort, the enemy will bring false prophets and false teachers who claim to have revelations. What is a false prophet or false teacher? False prophets and false teachers don’t stand in the presence of God listening to His voice. Since they have nothing from the Lord, they speak from their own minds. They give their interpretations of Scripture based on rationalized thinking. You will know them by their fruits. Don’t be fooled by a big show or by signs and wonders. What are they doing?

“If they had stood before me and listened to me, they would have spoken my words, and they would have turned my people from their evil ways and deeds” (Jeremiah 23:22).

“This is what the LORD of Heaven’s Armies says to his people: “Do not listen to these prophets when they prophesy to you, filling you with futile hopes. They are making up everything they say. They do not speak for the LORD!” (Jeremiah 23:16).

Follow the by grace through faith way. Stay in God’s presence and let the Holy Spirit flow through you. Listen to His voice. Yield to His Spirit. Let Him continually teach and correct you.

Whose voice will you listen to?

Whose voice will you listen to?

Whose voice will you listen to?

“Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come.” (Jeremiah 33:3)

Once you have been born again, it’s normal for you to want to know Jesus Christ better. It’s normal for you to be drawn to the supernatural nature of Christ. It’s abnormal for you to be satisfied with the natural when God has promised supernatural blessings, health, and life. You want your relationship with Christ to be meaningful. You want more than just a feeling of His presence. You want His leading. You want more than just using God as a vending machine where you make your requests and hope to get what you want. You want to know Him and His love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, inner strength, knowledge, wisdom, and understanding.

“If they had stood before me and listened to me, they would have spoken my words, and they would have turned my people from their evil ways and deeds” (Jeremiah 23:22).

If you want to hear God’s voice and speak God’s words, stand before Him and listen to Him. It’s not difficult to understand.

“Now without faith it is impossible to please God, since the one who draws near to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards (pays back) those who seek him” (Hebrews 11:6.

“If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me” (Jeremiah 29:13).

What makes it hard to hear God’s voice? Listening to the wrong voice.

You have the choice. Whose voice will you listen to? Will you listen to your carnal mind and all the presuppositions  planted by demon forces, or will you listen to God. God tells you He exists. God tells you He will speak to you. He says these things through the Bible and every means of divine revelation mentioned in the Bible. You can read about how He spoke to Samuel, Moses, Paul, Peter, and others. He can speak to you that way. Your carnal mind is a skeptic that was programmed by demon forces. It doubts. Doubting God will cause you to have trouble hearing God. Turn your attention to Jesus. He will assure you that God is real. He tells you that God will answer when you ask Him a question. He’ll be there when you want to stand in His presence listening for His voice.

IT’S NORMAL FOR YOU TO WANT TO KNOW JESUS CHRIST BETTER

IT’S NORMAL FOR YOU TO WANT TO KNOW JESUS CHRIST BETTER

IT’S NORMAL FOR YOU TO WANT TO KNOW JESUS CHRIST BETTER

LET’S ALL PRAISE THE LORD

LET’S ALL PRAISE THE LORD

LET’S ALL PRAISE THE LORD

Let’s all praise the Lord for His goodness.
Let’s all praise the Lord for His kindness,
For He hath done wondrous things for us,
Whereof we are glad.
Rejoice in the Lord all ye righteous.
Rejoice in the Lord and bless His Name!
For He alone is worthy; Oh, praise ye the Lord.

Let’s all praise the Lord for His goodness.
Let’s all praise the Lord for His kindness,

Let’s All Praise the Lord

If you are full of God’s Spirit

If you are full of God’s Spirit

If you are full of God’s Spirit

If you are full of God’s Spirit, God will open the door to talk about Jesus. Always let God’s glory flow through you and flow out from you. His glory is full of love and peace. As the conversation goes, you may find that you’re talking to a person who needs Jesus. Always be respectful and non-coercive. Don’t preach at people, but let the conversation flow and look for God to open a door to talk about Jesus. In general, you will probably talk about these subjects:

The Problem of Sin:

  • Would you consider yourself to be a good person?
  • Do you think you’ve kept the 10 Commandments?
  • If God were to judge you by the 10 Commandments, would you be guilty or innocent?
  • Would you go to heaven of hell?

Concern:

  • If they admit they are bound for hell, ask: “Does this concern you?”

Cross and Resurrection:

  • Share how Jesus died on the cross to pay the debt of our sins and rose again to give us eternal life. He is the only way. (1 Corinthians 15:3b-4, John 14:6)

He Pays the Debt IF They Do the Following:

  • admit their sin
  • repent of their sins
  • believe and receive Christ as their Savior from sin and the sinful nature

(Acts 3:19, Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9)

What’s Next?

  • They are now new babies in Christ.
  • They need to grow up in Christ.
  • Explain how to spend time listening to God and standing in His presence.
  • This includes prayer and developing a personal relationship with God.
  • Talk to them about reading the Bible daily, coming to church, and telling others about Christ.

HOW TO TALK ABOUT JESUS

HOW TO TALK ABOUT JESUS

HOW TO TALK ABOUT JESUS

  • Talk to them about reading the Bible daily, coming to church, and telling others about Christ.

Christ in you is full of life.

Christ in you is full of life.

Christ in you is full of life.

If you have received Jesus as your Savior and Lord, it’s normal for you to want others to have the same joy you now experience. You’re fallen fleshly nature may be fearful while Christ in you is full of life. How do you overcome fear and tell other people about Jesus? God isn’t interested in programs and formulas other than standing in His Presence, enjoying His glory, being thankful to Him, listening to His voice, and yielding to His Spirit. So in telling others about Jesus, these are the most important things to do. Someone can give you some tips, but never let the tips become a rigid format. Always be respectful and kind. Never be judgmental, accusing, or pushy. Ask questions and listen. Smile, nod, and look them in the eyes.

That being said, here is one of the methods that is widely taught as a way to talk to people about Jesus.

The Way of the Master (WDJD):

Friendly Conversation
Start with light, non-threatening topics. Ask about their life, family, or interests.
A friendly tone helps open the door for deeper discussions.

Transition to Spiritual Topics:
“Did you get one of these?” (hand them a gospel tract)
“Do you have a Christian background?”
“What do you think happens after we die?”

Key Question 1:
“Would you consider yourself to be a good person?

Key Question 2:
“Do you think you’ve kept the Ten Commandments?”
If they say they’re a good person, ask questions based on the Ten Commandments. For example:
“Have you ever told a lie?”
“Have you ever stolen anything, no matter how small?”
“Have you ever used God’s name in vain?”
“Have you ever looked at someone with lust? (Jesus said in Matthew 5:28 that this is the same as committing adultery in your heart.)”
Be kind but positive and confident as you explain that these actions are sins according to God’s law.

You may find this person is a Christian who understands salvation. If so, enjoy a conversation where you can build each other up in your faith.

Key Question 3 – Judgment:
“If God were to judge you by the 10 Commandments, do you think you would be innocent or guilty?”

Key Question 4 – Destiny:
“Since God is totally holy and must be just, do you think you would go to heaven or to hell?”

Present the Solution: The Gospel
“Even though we’ve all sinned, God loves us and sent His Son, Jesus, to pay the penalty for our sins.”
“Jesus lived a sinless life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again on the third day.”
“If you repent of your sins and trust in Jesus as your Savior, God will forgive you and give you eternal life.”

Call for a Response
“Does this make sense to you?”
“Do you believe what I’m saying?”
“Would you like to repent and trust in Jesus today?”

If they seem hesitant, encourage them to think about it and keep seeking the truth.

Provide Encouragement and Resources
Offer a Bible or a gospel tract if they’re interested.
Invite them to church or recommend resources for further study.
Encourage them to pray and seek God sincerely.
Pray for Them

Whether they respond positively or not, commit to praying for them after your conversation.
Trust God to work in their heart, even if you don’t see immediate results.
Key Points to Remember

Let Jesus lead you: Stay aware of God’s presences. Christ lives in you. Let Him speak through you.
Love and humility: Approach every person with kindness and genuine care for their soul.
Listen actively: Engage with their thoughts and questions without being confrontational.
Use Scripture: Anchor your conversation in the Bible (e.g., Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9).
Rely on the Holy Spirit: Trust God to guide your words and open their heart to the truth.

This method focuses on helping people see their need for a Savior by understanding their sin through God’s law, then pointing them to the hope of salvation through Jesus Christ. You may find that the conversation goes in a totally different way. If that’s the case, follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.
