MY SOUL IS ATHIRST

MY SOUL IS ATHIRST

MY SOUL IS ATHIRST

My soul is athirst for the Water of Life,
I long to drink my fill.
Refreshed let me lie in your bosom, O Lord
And fellowship there Lord with Thee.

CHORUS:

Let me wait in your presence, O Jesus
And my soul will be lifted above;
To be filled with Thy presence completely
And be lost in the depths of Thy love.

O Lord, how I long to be perfectly whole
And dwell in Thy presence divine;
Nourished and fed by the Spirit of Life,
O Lord, how I long to be Thine.

My Soul Is Athirst

Some people say God doesn’t speak.

Some people say God doesn’t speak.

Some people say God doesn’t speak.

Some people think God doesn’t speak. It’s very common for schools and media to claim only natural explanations are valid, and that makes this problem worse. Some even think God doesn’t exist. Then there are those who think God used to speak, but He doesn’t do that anymore. They think God left the Bible behind so we can read the Bible and figure things out from there. And yet, God does speak. He speaks to every person, but some refuse to thank Him or glorify Him. The fact is that we don’t have the capacity to figure the Bible out. That’s why good sincere people argue about what the Bible says. But look at what the Bible does say about God speaking.

“Whoever is on the side of truth listens to Me” (John 18:37)

“Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Father” (Matthew 4:4)

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” (John 10:27)

”Whoever is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear them is that you are not of God” (John 8:47)

“The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.” (John 1:9-12 goes on to make it clear this Light is Jesus.)

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Ask God to answer these questions:

Why do skeptics and atheists claim God doesn’t speak or doesn’t exist?
Why do people interpret the Bible differently if God speaks through it?
Why do you need divine guidance to truly understand the Bible?
What does it mean for you to be on the side of truth?
What does it mean for you to live by every word that comes from God?

Bonus questions:

How do you hear God’s voice?
Why do some people not hear God’s words?
How can you trust God with all your heart?

Keep in mind that God doesn’t want you to ever disconnect from Him. He wants to flow through you constantly in knowledge, wisdom, and love.

This is generally called the five-fold ministry. In Scripture, “apostle” refers to an office. There are two apostolic offices: elder and deacon. Don’t confuse these two offices with local elders and deacons. In Scripture, we see Paul, a traveling elder, directing the work of traveling deacons such as Timothy. They are similar offices, but the scope is different. Apostles travel from church to church. Scripture says these traveling elders and deacons receive a living from the offerings of the church members. Prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers are ministries. This becomes harder to understand since local elders pastor (care for as a shepherd) the local church members.

“to equip the saints for works of ministry and to build up the body of Christ, until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, as we mature to the full measure of the stature of Christ.”

This is the gradual transformation process that’s all over Scripture. It will come to completeness at one point. The fleshly nature will not be a problem then. Sickness and death will be things of the past. It becomes obvious that this maturing process isn’t an individual walk. We walk as a body. May the church come into conformity with the Holy Spirit.

Then we will no longer be infants, tossed about by the waves and carried around by every wind of teaching and by the clever cunning of men in their deceitful scheming.

That’s maturity. Christ is fully formed within. The flesh has lost all power. It appears, from other Scriptures, this may be associated with the redemption of our bodies.

Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Christ Himself, who is the head. From Him the whole body, fitted and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love through the work of each individual part.

The church was not designed to have one minister or a ministry team that sits in the front to minister to the people in the audience. It’s a body that builds itself up in love. The elders’ main job is to make sure every member is entering into his or her ministry to the fullest. It changes the nature of the church service to look like 1 Corinthians 14.

Ask God to answer these questions.
What does it mean for you to mature into the “full measure of the stature of Christ”?
Why do you need to grow together as a part of the body and not alone?
What does it mean for you to speak the truth in love?
How does the church “build itself up in love”?
Why isn’t the church supposed to have just one minister doing everything?
Bonus questions:

What does 1 Corinthians 14 say about what a church service should look like?
What is the difference between a traveling elder and a local elder?
How do prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers help the church?
What is the five-fold ministry?
What is an apostle?

MY PRAYER

Lord, I pray that each and every day
My heart would be softer unto you.
And let this be the prayer I pray
Each and every day.
That I desire more and more of You.
And, Lord, above all else,
Please grant me this:
Your Wisdom and Your Faith, Hope and Love:
Cleansing me of all my self
‘Til I, in heav’nly bliss,
Am one with that which comes down from above.

How does God speak the Word (Jesus) to you?

How does God speak the Word (Jesus) to you?

How does God speak the Word (Jesus) to you?

When you look to the Lord (2 Corinthians 3:16, Isaiah 45:22), the Father speaks the Word (Jesus) in some form of leading (John 1:1, 14, Hebrews 1:1-2).

If you receive that leading, Jesus authors faith in your heart (Hebrews 12:2, Romans 10:17). This is the faith of the Son of God, God’s Word. When you receive that faith, the Son of God is manifested in you in the form of belief you call “faith” (Galatians 2:20, 2 Corinthians 13:5). You believe, and yet not you, but Christ. At that point, you have the full authority of Christ to do the Father’s will (John 14:12, Matthew 28:18-20). You received the vision and see His image as if looking into a mirror in your brothers and sisters and yourself and realize who you are in Christ and how you fit into His body (Colossians 1:27, 1 John 3:2).

But Christ has not yet finished the work of faith. Faith without works is dead (James 2:26), which is why faith gives you access to grace (Romans 5:1-2, Ephesians 2:8).

And grace then abounds to you through Christ to do the work God has given you to do (2 Corinthians 9:8, Philippians 2:13). The Holy Spirit obeys the Father through you.

Your part is to yield (John 16:13-14, Galatians 5:16-17, Romans 8:14, James 4:7). You let go and let God (Romans 6:13, Romans 12:1).

He says the words by His power or does the acts by His power. That Word (Jesus) the Father spoke is the seed of the Sower that has found good ground in your heart (Luke 8:11, 15). This is transformation (Romans 8:29). It is Christ formed in you (2 Corinthians 3:18, Galatians 4:19). It is a measure of holiness added to you, and, in that thing, you are changed forever.

These minor changes continue from glory to glory (1 John 3:3, 2 Peter 1:5-8) until the day the work will be complete (Philippians 1:6, 2 Corinthians 3:18).

Ask God to answer these questions.
How does God speak the Word (Jesus) to you?
What does it mean that Jesus authors faith in your heart?
What is the power of God’s grace, and what does it do?
How does grace do God’s work through you?
How do you let go and let God?
Bonus questions:

What is the Seed that finds good ground in your heart?
How do these changes happen from glory to glory?
What does it mean to look to the Lord?

Mighty Word of God,
Come live within this heart of mine,
Come and abide with power in me.
Oh, Mighty Word of God,
Oh, Jesus, let Your glory shine.
Come and set this captive free.

Lord, Jesus, let Your fiery heat
transform my contrite soul.
From glory unto glory make me new.
Transfigured by Your awesome power,
Your presence makes me whole,
With less of me and more and more of You.

Now Lord, through Your Church,
Your Body as You’re forming it,
Wisdom of God is now made known.
And as we will discern the genuine and counterfeit,
Then Your glory will be shown.

Lord, Jesus, let Your fiery heat transform my contrite soul.
From glory unto glory make me new.
Transfigured by Your awesome power, Your presence makes me whole,

2 Corinthians 3:18 “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

You yield to God’s Spirit

Romans 6:13 “Do not present the parts of your body to sin as instruments of wickedness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and present the parts of your body to Him as instruments of righteousness.”

God transforms you

Romans 6:19 “I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. Just as you used to offer the parts of your body in slavery to impurity and to escalating wickedness, so now offer them in slavery to righteousness leading to holiness.”

IMPORTANT: Righteousness is Christ working through you to do the Father’s will in the moment. Holiness is Christ permanently formed in you, which is the definition of spiritual maturity.

IMPORTANT: When the Father leads, He is the Sower. He sows the Seed (the Word, Jesus) into your heart. You can reject it. If you receive it, the Seed finds good ground and brings forth fruit. It also transforms you.

Ask God to answer these questions:

1. What happens when you yield to God’s Spirit?

God leads, teaches, and corrects us through Scripture and every means of divine revelation mentioned in Scripture.

God speaks. He leads, teaches, and corrects us. He speaks through Scripture and every means of divine revelation mentioned in Scripture. We hear His voice when a brother or sister in Christ speaks by the Holy Spirit. We look for the day when we only speak by the Holy Spirit. When the Father speaks, Jesus Christ (the Word or Utterance of God) authors faith in your heart. You have to be willing to receive this faith. You have to listen to the voice of the Father. God allows you to resist Him, and He forces Himself on no one.

That faith that comes gives you access to God’s grace. God’s grace is God’s power to do or say whatever the Father led you to do or say. You yield to His grace and allow His grace to flow in love through you to do the Father’s will.

Faith accesses grace

Romans 5:1b-2a “our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we stand.”

Ephesians 2:8 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,” Note that the grace is through faith.

Grace does God’s righteousness through you

James 1:22 “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”

James 2:17 “Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”

1 Corinthians 15:10 “But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace to me was not in vain. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.”

1 John 1:7 “But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”

Ask God to answer these questions:

How does the process of receiving faith from God lead to your transformation?
What difference does your willingness to receive God’s faith make in this transformation?
How do you yield to God’s grace?
How can you actively yield to God’s grace in your daily life to allow God’s power to work through you?
Now you know the relationship between faith and grace as described in Romans 5:1-2, Ephesians 2:8. What does that tell you about your dependence on God’s power, rather than your own abilities for daily living?

Bonus questions:

Now that you see the Scriptures (James 1:22, James 2:17, 1 Corinthians 15:10) show the active nature of faith, what does it look like when you live out your faith through your works that are empowered by God’s grace?
Now that you know what it means to “walk in the light” as described in 1 John 1:7, how does your walking in the light affect your fellowship with other believers?
How does God speak to you through other people?
How is God’s grace different from God’s mercy or forgiveness?
How does grace help you do what God wants you to do?
Keep in mind that God doesn’t want you to ever disconnect from Him. He wants to flow through you constantly in knowledge, wisdom, and love. God designed your mind to flow in His Spirit. It won’t work properly without His presence. Learn to stand in God’s presence and hear His voice. Then teach others to do the same.

MARCHING TO THE KINGDOM

MARCHING TO THE KINGDOM

MARCHING TO THE KINGDOM

Lord, fill Your Church with power from above;
Direct and guide it with Your mighty Love.
Let us go forth and vanquish every foe;
As we walk You will show us where to go.

Chorus
Marching into battle; Marching into war;
Marching to the Kingdom; Following our Lord.
Yes, we are marching into battle; Marching into war;
Marching to the Kingdom; Following our Lord.

In our own strength we’d fall before the foe;
Your gifts are weapons; they can overthrow
Strongholds on High, as evil princes fall;
With pow’r we heed Your mighty trumpet call.

Chorus

We need to see Your Gifts and Ministries;
With Pow’r O’r darkness, sin and all disease.
Let us take hold; You want us to receive;
Give us Your faith so that we can believe.

Chorus

With force and might, attacks on ev’ry side;
But You protect all who in You abide.
Those Evil pow’rs, destroyers full of fight,
All flee when You unveil Your Holy Light.

Chorus

Lord now unveil Your mighty Holy Arm;
It shall protect, and Keep us from all harm.
We march against The foe at Your command,
And we depend on You to Cleanse this land.

The human mind is incapable of rational thought on its own.

The human mind is incapable of rational thought on its own.

The human mind is incapable of rational thought on its own.

The human mind is incapable of rational thought on its own. Without truth, there is no rational thought. The human mind can’t reason to truth. Agrippa the Skeptic discovered this about 2,000 years ago, and philosophers have been unsuccessfully trying to get around that fact since then. As a result, every secular form of epistemology is rooted in unproven and unprovable axioms that are taken as facts without any evidence. You can research and find that this is the case.

The only way anyone can know anything is if Someone Who knows all things and Who can’t lie reveals the truth to that person. Fortunately, Jesus Christ is the Light that enlightens every person. God demonstrates His reality to every person.

Some people acknowledge Him, thank Him, and give Him the glory for the knowledge He gives. They continue to walk into ever-greater light and knowledge of the truth. Others refuse to do that and gradually lose the ability to tell the difference between the voice of God and the things their useless mind makes up or even between what God says and what demons whisper into their minds. The eventually can’t tell the difference between reality and make-believe. That’s why you’re seeing so many crazy opinions all around.

This diagram with keys represents a single step in God’s process for transforming you on your transformation journey. Each step on your journey takes a moment. Go through these Bible verses and pray about this. Ask God to reveal this process to you.

Consider these Scriptures while studying the diagram. Look into faith first and continue with grace. God leads, teaches, and corrects every person. Christ is the Light, and He lights every person. Some people turn away from the Light. They refuse to thank God for the wisdom and knowledge He gives. Others acknowledge the Light and thank God for the Light. All wisdom and knowledge come from God. Those who thank God, listen, and yield to His Spirit walk into ever-increasing Light as Christ is formed in them. Those who refuse to thank God won’t listen to Him or yield to His Spirit. That’s why you see all the evil that’s in the world today.

God leads through His Word (Jesus Christ)

John 18:37b “Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.” (Jesus speaking)

John 10:16 “And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd.” (Jesus speaking)

You hear. Faith comes by hearing the rhema leading of God

Romans 10:17 “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word (rhema, which means an utterance or statement) of God.”

Hebrews 12:2a “looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith”

Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

How does this diagram represent God’s process for transformation?
How does the “seed” of God’s Word (Jesus Christ) relate to the parable of the sower?
What does it mean for Christ to be formed in you?
How does gratitude to God influence your ability to hear and yield to His Spirit?
Why do some people turn away from the Light?
Bonus questions:

What does it mean when the Bible says Christ is the Light?
