If your thoughts aren’t based on absolute truth, then your thoughts are mere opinions.

If your thoughts aren’t based on absolute truth, then your thoughts are mere opinions.

If your thoughts aren’t based on absolute truth, then your thoughts are mere opinions.

Here’s the problem. You can’t know anything for certain without absolute truth. If your thoughts aren’t based on absolute truth, then your thoughts are mere opinions. I’ve been guilty of this. I’ve had God speak to me and tell me that I based my thinking on nothing at all. That shook me to my core.

So, how can anyone even survive without truth? If a person without truth can’t be rational, wouldn’t every person in this predicament live in poverty or die quickly at a young age? It doesn’t work that way. Irrational people do get into high positions and do live what appear to be normal lives. Just think of some people you’ve seen in top positions and the poor decisions they’ve made.

All wisdom and knowledge and wisdom are hidden in Christ. Christ is the Light. He lights every person. God’s rain falls on the righteous and the unrighteous. Some people just refuse to acknowledge and thank God. What happens to them? God tells us in Romans 1: “Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.”

The world has gone crazy because it has no truth. Intellectuals make many bizarre claims.

Here’s what can happen to you. Over the months and years, you can start to feel comfortable with their bizarre claims. You can become numb. After a while, some old bizarre claims don’t sound so crazy anymore even though they’re just as crazy as when you first heard them. You may have resisted the lunacy at first, but the crazy people persisted and repeated their messages until those messages sounded normal to you. You became as crazy as the crazy people because you let them normalize insanity for you. You internalized craziness. You let craziness become part of your inner concept of reality.

I hope you’ve escaped this insanity. It’s almost impossible. It takes a miracle to escape.

The Church Is Filled With Hypocrites

The Church Is Filled With Hypocrites

The Church Is Filled With Hypocrites

Have you ever heard anyone say that they won’t come to church because of all those hypocrites that are there? Well, there may be hypocrites in the church, and every Christian must pray that God will give us of His nature, but the foulest and most deceitful hypocrites are not in the church. The days of political correctness are upon us, bringing a dishonest self-righteousness to those who want nothing to do with God or His laws. One major part of what God has asked us to do is to put away the pointing of the finger. This little poem is written for the finger pointers of the world.

The church is filled with hypocrites, with hypocrites galore,
But not to be compared with hypocrites outside its door.
If hypocrites have kept you out of church, I really must implore:
Come in and join us now for we can always use one more.

Some wisdom is demonic.

Some wisdom is demonic.

Some wisdom is demonic.

Some wisdom is demonic. God’s wisdom is pure and peace-loving.

Morality is one part of your life. God is shaking every part of your life. God has been shaking everything. God is shaking all the so-called authorities and voices you trusted, and He’s exposing their corruption. You have a sense God is going to continue to expose the false prophets and false teachers of this age who proclaim lies from their newsrooms and classrooms. You see the newsrooms and universities falling from their high perches as God shakes their trees. You see scientists and teachers promoting ideas so insane they lose all credibility with anyone who has a hint of wisdom or understanding. God is exposing these and other false prophets and false teachers so you have the chance to choose. You have a choice. You can either love the lies or reject and expose the lies. You can choose the truth.

And yet, many people are still following these false prophets and false teachers. The false prophets and teachers are drawing them in. And those who follow the lies enjoy it. They like it that way. They want to follow the false prophets and false teachers.

Look who they’re following. Most scientists, politicians, media personalities, theologians, philosophers, and scholars have strong opinions about topics when they know little or nothing about those topics. And yet, thousands or millions want to follow them if they’re celebrities or authorities. It’s as if those following the false prophets and false teachers are blind and can’t see. They’re in darkness. They love darkness rather than the Light. They hate the Light and turn away from it.

The Light is Jesus Christ, and He anyone who turns their attention to Him in reverence and sincere desire for the truth and righteousness will find Him. He speaks to every person through Scripture and every means of divine revelation mentioned in Scripture. He speaks through His people, dreams, visions, an inner quiet voice, or just knowing by what we call intuition. If we are seeking His mind, we will receive His wisdom and knowledge. If we aren’t purposely seeking Him, we will receive something else: our own worldview and self-talk, or the voices of demons. Since the human mind can’t reason to knowledge of the truth and all knowledge and wisdom are hidden in Christ, any wisdom or knowledge of truth you have ever had came from Christ. Did you thank Him, or did you grab the credit for yourself?

James 3:14-18 But if you harbor bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast in it or deny the truth. Such wisdom does not come from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every evil practice.
But the wisdom from above is first of all pure, then peace-loving, gentle, accommodating, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial, and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace reap the fruit of righteousness.

Why has the Church been a house divided?

Why has the Church been a house divided?

Why has the Church been a house divided?

Why has the Church been a house divided? Because God’s people haven’t been listening to His voice. We have no idea how many of our thoughts and opinions have been influenced and shaped by the devil, the world, and our sinful flesh. Only the Holy Spirit can correct us. And the Holy Spirit won’t force Himself on us. He comes where He is welcomed. If we have blocked off parts of our mind and thinking as off limits to correction, He will wait for us to yield to Him. That’s why God speaks to us through the Bible, asking us to seek His face and to seek His mind. He asks us to repent, which literally means “have a new mind.” If we refuse the Holy Spirit in any part of our lives, God can’t help us. God says, “If any person thinks he or she knows any thing, he or she doesn’t know that thing as he or she ought to know it.”

If God’s people allow the Holy Spirit to lead them, do you think the Holy Spirit would contradict Himself and cause conflict? The only conflict the Holy Spirit will cause is a conflict with lies and the old leaven of rationalized doctrine.

Moralizers

Each moralizer draws a line in the sand and says, “I’m a moral person and I won’t cross this line.” And yet, it’s just a line in the sand. Moralizers look at all the possible evil acts. Then, each moralizer claims certain evil acts are “OK.” Others are “not OK.” That’s the line in the sand. And yet, under certain conditions, any ungodly thinker can move his or her line in the sand. Ungodly thinkers can move the lines because they drew the lines in the first place.

They based their lines in the sand on foundations like these:
• Emotions
• random thoughts
• peer pressure
• inner paradigms
• interpretations of past experiences
• interpretations of observations
• interpretations of the Bible
• ideas they were taught
• other changeable thinking

Their lines are arbitrary and moveable, so you can never pin them down. Without truth, they have no real morality, integrity, knowledge, purpose, or meaning. Without truth, their entire world is shakable. They have nothing solid. The human mind can’t reason to truth. Only God can reveal truth.

The narrow way is very narrow. Whatever is not of faith is sin. Faith comes by hearing the rhema (leading) of God. We must take time to commune with God and listen to His voice. Faith gives access to God’s grace, which says God’s words and does God’s acts through us. Our part is to yield. That is the only true righteousness. Everything else is virtue signaling and pride.

Once truth is gone, reason can justify anything. Here’s how the insanity works with morality. Everyone has an internal fake-morality. It’s not real. It’s contrived, but each person’s fake-morality feels real to that person. Sometimes, through peer pressure and groupthink, a clique of people will share certain elements of a common fake-morality. However, their group-held fake-morality is also fake. It’s artificial. Groupthink can limit you. Groupthink limits most people in the world. They call it “common knowledge,” but it’s not knowledge of the truth. It’s just a fabrication a lot of people believe.

Rationalism: Rationalism is irrational. Rationalism is assuming and trying to make assumptions seem rational. It’s a method of trying to make irrational thinking seem rational.

I’m not talking about everyone. I’m talking about those who think without God. I could call them godless thinkers. Godless thinkers use rationalizations to justify their fake-moralities. Godless thinkers may be religious, but they reason without God. You can reason by rationalizing, but you aren’t sane if you rationalize. If you rationalize, your reasoning is irrational. If you rationalize, you use fallacies to make irrational thinking appear rational. That’s why people disagree about morality.

Without truth, real knowledge can’t exist.

Without truth, real knowledge can’t exist.

Without truth, real knowledge can’t exist

The human mind can’t reason to truth. It’s can only reason to an opinion. To interpret any observation, experience, or Scripture you either need to make assumptions or receive divine revelation. Jesus Christ is the Light, and He enlightens (gives His wisdom, knowledge, love, joy, and goodness to) every person. Some people acknowledge Him and thank Him. Those who don’t thank Him and give Him the credit take the credit for themselves. They lose the distinction between their own worthless rationalization/self-talk and the wisdom and knowledge that comes from God.

So that’s why the world has gotten to where it is. Is there anywhere you can go to get the truth? You catch the news media lying to you repeatedly. They twist the truth and make your head spin. The schools let you down. Theologians disagree about how to interpret the Bible. Scientists disagree about how to interpret the observations. You hear so many conflicting stories all around you that you don’t know which liar to believe.

Without truth, real knowledge can’t exist. You just hear liars parroting meaningless memorized sayings and opinions. Without truth, there is no morality. Without truth, you can’t have ethics. Without truth, you have no purpose. Your life can have no meaning if there is no truth. Without truth, you have only emptiness and manipulation. Your life becomes a game with no right or wrong but only winners and losers. When the intellectuals removed truth from reason, they also destroyed sanity.

Why is the World so Crazy?

Why is the World so Crazy?

Why is the World so Crazy?

When you think it can’t get crazier, it goes to a new level of insanity. Why is this happening?

It’s because that’s what happens when the culture removes truth. You started hearing the term “post-truth” around 2016, but the fall from truth happened long before that. It became popular with something called “postmodernism” around the 1970s. Relativism and skepticism go way back in time. However, it actually began when the serpent in the Garden of Eden asked, “Did God really say that?” More people have accepted the “no-truth” fantasy now. And you’re just seeing the fruit of it.

Here’s the problem. If you are going to think rationally, you must base your thinking on truth. Truth is absolute by definition. When the train of logic leaves the track of truth, it can go anywhere. It can dream up anything. ANYTHING!

The train of logic leaves the track of truth with the first assumption. Let me give you an illustration of how powerful assumptions are. If you allow me one assumption, I can use valid logical form to prove you don’t exist.

Let’s assume you don’t exist.
You don’t exist.
Therefore, you don’t exist.

Do you want to prove anything else? The same process will work perfectly. If you want to prove God doesn’t exist, just use Naturalism and Materialism as axioms. Both of those assume God doesn’t exist. From there, your work is easy. Do you want to prove the Genesis Flood didn’t happen? Just assume Uniformitarianism. Uniformitarianism assumes the Genesis Flood didn’t happen. From there, your work is done.

Conversations with God

Conversations with God

Conversations with God

Conversations with God should be the norm. They should come naturally. And yet, they don’t always come naturally. Why?

We live in an ungodly world. If you watch TV, you won’t see people having conversations with God. You may hear about people talking with other people, talking to themselves, or even having conversations or getting advice from demons, but you won’t see them having a conversation with God. If you listen to the radio, the same thing happens. The media and education system work together against God, and that’s not entirely by accident. They don’t mind religion, but they don’t want the true God. Even many in the church stopped talking about having conversations with God. Some Christians even fear seeking God. They say they believe the Bible, but they don’t believe the Bible when it says that we need to listen to Jesus Christ. No one who seeks Christ sincerely will receive anything other than Christ. Here are some Bible verses you can look up, but there are many other verses in the Bible on this subject: John 10:27, Matthew 7:7–11, Jeremiah 29:13, Luke 11:13, Proverbs 8:17, Hebrews 11:6, Revelation 3:20, John 8:47, Luke 6:46–47, and John 10:16.

The Bible says God speaks to every person. Jesus is the Light, and He gives light to every person (John 1:9). ALL wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Him (Colossians 2:3). And He gives wisdom and knowledge to every person (James 1:5, 1 Corinthians 1:30). Some people refuse to thank Him or even give Him the credit for the wisdom and knowledge He gives, and the Bible tells the consequences to those who don’t thank Him and give Him the glory (Romans 1). When God gives people understanding, they usually take the glory for themselves.

So, why don’t people speak about their conversations with God? The culture of the world is fallen under the control of Satan and opposes God’s leading. It encourages pride. It mocks those who listen to God. Even some Christians mock the truth that God is the ONLY Source of ALL wisdom and knowledge of the Truth. If you listen to God, the truth you receive is always in part, and your carnal mind may fill in the blanks and trick you. If you don’t listen to God, your carnal mind will absolutely trick you. Jesus is the Truth, and He is the ONLY Truth. So intimidation is a factor. Conditioning is a factor. Habit is a factor. And the influence of demons and the fallen carnal mind is a factor.

These are some of the reasons conversations with God are not the norm. There are no good reasons.

Now, you can have conversations with God. Here’s a short, concise explanation of how to do that. You can do it by asking questions, although you aren’t limited to asking questions. You can tell God you love Him any time you like. You can praise Him and thank Him for all He gives you. And you ought to do that all the time. It’s good to set aside some time every day to seek God to listen to His voice. If you do that, He will speak to you. He will lead you and teach you. He will even correct you from time to time. And you can look to Him regardless of what you’re doing. Why wouldn’t you want to live your life flowing with the wisdom and knowledge of the One Who knows all things and has all knowledge?

Your conversations with God will continue to go deeper and deeper as you continue to spend time in God’s presence. When you work, let His wisdom flow through you. When you’re trying to solve a problem, let Him counsel you. If you lose something, ask God to help you find it instead of stressing over it. Ask Him to answer the hard questions. God will reveal all the hidden secrets of truth to you. With truth comes freedom and power for righteousness. Keep in mind that God doesn’t want you to ever disconnect from Him. He wants to flow through you constantly in knowledge, wisdom, and love. God designed you to be connected to Him. Without that constant connection, nothing works right. Learn to stand in God’s presence and hear His voice. Then teach others to do the same.

Ask God to answer these questions:

Why don’t you talk to God more than you do?
What does it mean that you live in an ungodly world?
Why don’t people talk about having conversations with God as much as they should?
What are some of the ways God speaks to every person?
The Bible says Jesus is the Light. What does that mean?

Bonus questions:

Why do some people take the glory for the wisdom and knowledge God gives them?
What are some of the reasons people don’t have conversations with God?
How can you talk to God and listen to Him in conversations?
What kind of things can you tell God when you talk to Him?
What kind of questions can you ask God when you talk to Him?

They say they believe the Bible, but they don’t believe the Bible when it says that we need to listen to Jesus Christ. During this course, we went through the Scriptures that say this.

The “Reflection” portions of the lessons in this devotional also teach how to have conversations with God.

If you are attacked because you believe what God says to you through Scripture

Stay Calm and Professional.
Why: Emotional responses can make you appear defensive or less credible.
How: Take a deep breath and maintain a tone of reason and respect, even when the criticism is harsh and unfair. Respond to the argument, not the emotion behind it.
Important: Look for any truth in the attack or any area where it points out that you could improve. Admit your faults right away and look to God to find out what you should do about them.

Refocus on Evidence and Logic.
Why: Grounding your argument in evidence makes it harder for others to dismiss you as irrational or unscientific. Remember that logic must be based on truth or it is unsound. Point out that the human mind can’t reason to truth. Typically, godless thinkers try to find some argument against this fact, but there is no rational argument against it. At a certain point, they are just making up stuff and calling the made-up stuff true. When they are talking about “evidence,” they are generally talking about a certain interpretation of an observation or Scripture. That interpretation is based on certain unprovable assumptions, so their claim of “evidence” is actually a claim that their unprovable assumptions are true. There is nothing irrational about divine revelation. God speaks through the Bible and every means of divine revelation mentioned in the Bible. In fact, the only certain way to know the Bible is God’s word without error is the fact that the Holy Spirit testifies to its reliability whenever you ask God about it.
How: Ask questions like, “That’s an interesting perspective. Obviously, you have a reason for saying that. Do you mind if I ask you what it is?” You are gently and respectfully asking them how they know what they are claiming. And you are digging down to the root. They may be thinking this through for the first time in their lives, so be kind and understanding but persistent to get down to the root. You will have to be patient and continue to ask how they know each of their statements are true. They may shut down the conversation as they realize they have no true basis for what they’re saying. If they are wrong, the root will be, “I guess I’m just making the whole thing up.” The other option is divine revelation. You may be talking to a Christian who feels he or she has received direct divine revelation. In that case, if you don’t receive a confirmation from the Holy Spirit, it’s best to agree that you will both continue to pray about it and ask God to give clear leading. Don’t assume you are right. Otherwise, you can emphasize the scientific basis or logical inconsistencies in the axioms being questioned. For example: “I’m wondering whether these assumptions can stand up to the same level of scrutiny applied to other scientific theories.”

Point Out the Fallacy.
Why: Exposing flaws in the argument of your opponent can make them question baseless attacks.
How: If you’re being attacked for dogmatism, calmly point out the projection or double standard without being accusatory.

“It’s ironic that those who value open inquiry would label dissent as anti-science instead of engaging with the evidence. Can you provide evidence that God doesn’t act on the material world?”

Ask Thoughtful Questions, and when they answer, ask thoughtful questions about their answers.
Why: Shifting the burden of proof forces others to reflect on their assumptions.
How: Politely ask questions like:
“What is the evidence supporting the claim that these axioms must not be questioned?”
“If science is about testing assumptions, why shouldn’t these be tested too?”
Caution: Shifting the burden of proof becomes a foolish game if you imply that you don’t also have the burden of proof. Both people always have the burden of proof. However, no one can really prove anything to another person. Ultimately, God must prove the truth to all of us.

Find Allies.
Why: Being part of a supportive community can strengthen your position and credibility.
How: Connect with others who share your concerns or who value intellectual diversity, whether within scientific circles, faith-based groups, or interdisciplinary discussions. If necessary, you would stand alone with God against the whole world, but it’s good to have at least one friend who agrees with you. That’s one of the reasons for the church.

Disarm with Humility.
Why: Acknowledging uncertainties shows you’re committed to truth, not an agenda.
How: You can say:

“I’m open to revising my perspective as new evidence emerges. My goal is to pursue truth, wherever that leads. In fact, God is constantly correcting me, so I’m in a constant condition of transformation.”

Expose the Circular Reasoning.
Why: Revealing the self-reinforcing logic of their claims can be a powerful counter.
How: Show how their argument depends on assuming the very thing in question.

“If the rules of science assume God cannot be involved, how can we honestly evaluate evidence that might suggest otherwise?”

“If we say the Flood recorded in the Bible couldn’t have happened because there isn’t enough water to cover the whole earth, we would be assuming the Flood didn’t happen the way it’s recorded in the Bible to prove that the Flood didn’t happen the way it’s recorded in the Bible. Let me explain. The Bible says that the water for the flood came from inside the earth. It says that the mountains raised up  and the valleys, the bottom of the oceans, dropped down at the end of the Flood. That would mean that the mountains were much lower and the oceans weren’t as deep before the flood, so it would take much less water to cover the whole earth. When the mountains raised up and the oceans got deeper, the water ran off into the oceans. Can you see how that changes the entire perspective?”

Document and Respond Publicly if the Attacks Are Public.
Why: A written or public response ensures your argument is clear and accessible.
How: If appropriate, publish articles, blog posts, or social media updates where you clearly explain your position and counter the attacks. Ensure your tone is respectful and constructive.

Highlight the Bigger Picture.
Why: Reminding others of the core principles of science (or faith) reframes the conversation.
How: Say something like:

“Science is about following the evidence wherever it leads. Shouldn’t we embrace that spirit, even when it challenges deeply held assumptions?”

Trust in God’s Guidance.
Why: As a person of faith, leaning on prayer and discernment ensures your response aligns with God’s will.
How: Pray for wisdom, grace, and the ability to respond with love, even in the face of hostility. Listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Seek to speak only the words He speaks through you by His authority and power. Let His glory and essence in you flow out in all the fruit of the Spirit beginning with love.

Ask God to answer these questions:

What does it mean to stay calm and professional?
Why is it important for you to use evidence and logic when talking to someone?
What is a fallacy?
Why should you ask thoughtful questions when talking to someone?
How do you find people who agree with you?

Bonus questions:

What does it mean for you to disarm with humility?
What is circular reasoning?
Why should you write or talk about what you believe publicly?
What is the bigger picture in science or faith?
How do you trust in God’s guidance when talking to others?
