Righteousness is a free gift from God He gives us by grace, which is through faith.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God (rhema of God: a sentence, statement, spoken word).
God leads us. He’s always the first mover. He speaks and the Word of God (Jesus) authors God’s faith in our hearts (minds). Here, we begin to see who we are in Christ, the Christ in each other, and how we fit into the body of Christ.
Faith gives us access to God’s grace. God’s grace says God’s words and does God’s acts through us.
God tells us to be led by the Holy Spirit. As we listen to God’s leading and yield to His Spirit in willing submission, the Seed (the Living Word, Jesus Christ) is repeatedly planted in our hearts.
We are changed (literally transfigured) into the same image (the image of Christ) from glory to glory by the Holy Spirit. (2 Corinthians 3)
To what end? The Bible calls it the manifestation of the sons of God and the adoption, that is to say, the redemption of our bodies.
