That it’s taken away your song;
When your days are filled with irritation;
Things keep going wrong,
And you cry out, “O Lord, how long?”
Just remember God’s good purpose,
And what He intends to do;
He intends to make all old things new.
He will have us shine as lights,
And He will see it through,
So let patience work a perfect work in you.
