Your walk in the Spirit is an upward spiral.
Consider the cycle from Scripture. Each cycle begins with God speaking to you. God speaks through many channels. He speaks through the Bible and every means mentioned in the Bible. However, God is not limited by anything. He speaks through a man or woman who speaks as the oracle of God. We are all commanded to speak as God’s oracles. He speaks by a word of wisdom, a word of knowledge, a word of prophecy, or a word of testimony. He speaks through His angelic beings. He speaks through your conscience or intuition. You know His voice if you are one of His sheep. His sheep know His voice. They won’t follow any other. Your Father knows how to give the Holy Spirit to those who ask for it, and He won’t give them a serpent instead of a fish.
Whenever God speaks, you have the option to reverence Him or not. You can hear or not hear. It’s your choice whether you acknowledge Him, but when you do acknowledge Him in thankfulness and praise, His faith comes. He speaks His Word. His Word is His Son, Jesus Christ. He wants to impart something more of Christ into your heart in seed form, so He leads you and guides you. He teaches and corrects you.
God’s faith opens the door to God’s grace. Faith is the means of grace. And grace is the free gift of righteousness to you. Grace seeks to do the works and say the Words of God through you. Grace wants to manifest the living Christ in you. You cannot separate God’s faith or grace from the living Christ that came from the mouth of the Father. Your part now is to yield the members of your body to God’s righteousness.
When you do yield the members of your body to God’s righteousness, the Holy Seed is planted in the garden of your heart. This Seed is the Living Christ. Consider the Parable of the Sower and all the things that can come in the way of this Seed coming to fruition, and be warned. Let the Seed grow there by your simple submission to the glory of God that God has sown into your heart.
You can’t receive that Seed into your heart without being transfigured to some degree. The Light that is Christ has entered the chamber of your heart. The first time you received Him, your spirit was changed and reconciled to His Spirit. From that moment, He began building Christ in you by speaking to you through your spirit. His Spirit was connected to your spirit so He could speak to you more clearly through brothers and sisters in Christ, the Bible, creation, and many other ways. Now, you begin to discern Christ the body. You see the ministry that is Jesus Christ in every brother and sister and cease to know them after their fleshly natures.
In your heart or mind, demonic entities had planted many seeds over time. These evil beings had nurtured many ideas that became strongholds in your mind. The Holy Spirit comes to topple these strongholds by the Word of God, the Light. The Light comes into a dark place and darkness can’t withstand it. The Light causes us to die to ourselves and live to Christ.
The process is slower than we would like. The flesh is crafty. Demons are deceitful. And yet, progress is steady if we focus on Jesus Christ. When we seek Him we find Him, and He changes us from glory to glory. In this way, one cycle is completed, and the next cycle begins. The Father again speaks, starting the process once more. Moment by moment, your walk in the Spirit is an upward spiral.
