Consider that Saul persecuted Christians as he was trying to serve God his own way. The Jews killed Jesus by trying to serve God their own way. Today, many Christians have gone so far away from knowing Jesus Christ they fight for Marxism, Humanism, racism, evolutionism, killing babies in the womb, and many forms of lawlessness. They normalize every form of perversion and sinful behavior. I’m no better than them. If I listened to ungodly people and failed to stand in God’s presence, I would go the same way. You become the product of whoever you listen to. Listen to Jesus.Faith begins with God’s will and Him leading you. It doesn’t begin with your will. When God leads, He gives His faith to you. That’s the order. God’s leading, God’s faith, God’s grace, and then works.Righteousness is Real
Little children, let no one deceive you: The one who practices righteousness is righteous ~ 1 John 3:7a
God says, “Let no one deceive you.” Why does God say that? He says that because someone is going to try to deceive you. Someone is going to say you can be righteous without doing righteousness. True righteousness does God’s work. Righteousness is God working in you by grace, which is through faith. Here’s the same pattern again. God leads. You listen. Faith comes and opens the spiritual door to God’s grace. And grace does God’s acts of righteousness through you. Grace speaks God’s righteous words through you if you yield yourself to His free gift of righteousness. Can you see the power of this pattern?
