You’re born again so you can grow to maturity.

What is maturity then? Maturity is a state of purity with Christ fully formed within and the works of the flesh put to death. Maturity has two parts: edification and purification.

Edification means building up. The Holy Spirit is forming Christ within you. He’s building you into the image and likeness of Jesus Christ.

Purification is sanctification or holiness. God is purifying you. He’s removing the carnal, rebellious, fleshly nature that fights against God.

You need Christ. You can’t build yourself up without Christ. You can’t purify yourself without Christ. God has a plan and a method. God’s sovereignty and your responsibility work together. You have a responsibility. Your responsibility is to yield to Him. You must respond to God. You respond by listening to His voice and yielding in willing submission and obedience to His grace. You yield the members of your body, your tongue, your feet, hands, and entire being, as tools God can use for righteousness. If you yield to God, you stop fighting against God. Your responsibility is to stop fighting God.

If we’re led by the Holy Spirit, then we obey the Holy Spirit.

If we’re led by the Holy Spirit, then we obey the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will lead us to obey those within the body to whom God has delegated authority. We will know those whom God sent and gave authority, and the Holy Spirit is installing us in our exclusive, preordained positions in this body. God determines the gift, ministry, and office, and nothing can alter God’s design. What happens when the Lord fully comes in His body? We will “all come in the unity of the faith and knowledge of the Son of God to One Perfect Man to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:11-13) The Bible calls this the manifestation of the sons of God. It’s the “coming” (Greek: parousia) of Christ. That’s when the Holy Spirit has transfigured us all into the image and likeness of Christ. And we will operate in total surrender to Christ, our Head. The entire body will follow God’s pattern as it is defined in Scripture. Come, Lord Jesus. (Your Metamorphosis – Scientia)

If anyone thinks they know anything, they don’t know that thing as they ought to know it.

An ungodly thinker gets confused between what they observe and what they assume. The line between these two becomes blurred. They observe the creation and add assumptions without realizing they are doing so. They filter their observations through their presuppositions. They do the same with the Bible. That’s why Christians argue over what the Bible says. Paul even mentions this problem in 2 Corinthians 3. The natural human mind filters Scripture through preconceived ideas that may be wrong. When a group of people gather around an idea, the problem gets worse because of groupthink. The only solution is to seek the Lord and listen to Him. Allow Him to correct and teach. If anyone thinks they know anything, they don’t know that thing as they ought to know it. (1 Corinthians 8:2)

Create in Me a Clean Heart

God creates a clean heart in you the same way He created the heavens and the earth. He uses the same term for both creations.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. ~ Genesis 1:1

The Bible uses the same Hebrew term for creating in both verses.

Christ the body isn’t a hodgepodge of competitive churches.

We can’t answer God’s calling in an effort of self-sufficiency that’s detached from Christ the body. Christ the body isn’t a hodgepodge of competitive churches. God fits us into Christ the body. He designed the body, so we can expect three things. The body will move in God’s order, which God recorded in Scripture. It will move in unity. This body will do the will of the Father. As we assemble ourselves together as a body, we must identify Christ as He unveils Himself in His body. There won’t be any independent ministries in this body. No one will claim to be a chief or a predominant member. The only chief apostle, elder, ministry, or pastor will be Jesus Christ in heaven. DOCTRINES OF DEMONS

An ungodly thinker says, “If you know the difference between making up stuff and observing stuff, you’re rejecting science and the process of science.” This silly type of reasoning has changed science into a religion. Most scientists ignore this while working but must affirm it if asked. The three axioms (made-up stuff pretending to be real stuff) of science are: Naturalism, Materialism, and Uniformitarianism. Axioms are unsupported assertions that are revered as if they were facts. In simple terms, these “axioms” claim God, spirits, heaven, hell, and the human soul and spirit don’t exist. They also claim the Creation event and the Flood event never happened. By doing this, they claim the Bible is in error. By using the word “science” in this deceptive way, they have fooled many theologians and Christians scholars into accepting evolutionism, claims about the age of the earth, and speculations about the nature of humanity. These are doctrines of demons.

For example, your fleshly nature may be trying to draw you into sin. It tells you lies. It tells you to do things you shouldn’t do. Then, the Holy Spirit brings a memory to your mind. It may be some truth from a Bible teacher you heard long ago. It might be a verse of Scripture like this:

So you too must count yourselves dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its desires. ~ Romans 6:11-12

It might be this verse:

God may bring a word you heard long ago in a church service. You don’t remember anything about the church service. And yet, the Holy Spirit brings a word of truth from that service to your mind. The Holy Spirit may speak to you this way:

That’s your flesh lying to you. You don’t have to do it. You don’t owe anything to your flesh. Listen to Christ and walk in His righteousness.

Christ is the Foundation of the church. We can’t just build any way we want to on this Foundation.

God will use fire to try every work because the church is the manifestation of Christ on earth.

An ungodly thinker says, “If you can tell the difference between something you observe and something you assume, you reject the process of science.” Ungodly thinkers believe all things are relative. Everything in their worldview makes sense to them because it’s what they have always thought. A follower of Christ listens to the voice of Christ and allows God’s faith to come through that leading. Those who follow Christ begin to know the difference between Christ’s voice and the confusing voices from the devil, the world, and the sinful flesh. Christ speaks to every person through the Bible and every means of divine revelation found in the Bible. He speaks through the creation. We hear Him through other Christ-followers who are speaking by the Holy Spirit. He can speak through dreams and visions. In fact, many scientific breakthroughs came through dreams, visions, or inspirations. All truth comes through divine revelation since Jesus Christ is the truth and all knowledge and wisdom are hidden in Him.

God is constructing a temple. He’s building it through us. He directs us to build according to the blueprint He laid out in the Bible.

And the temple isn’t without a foundation. The pattern consists of gifts, ministries, operations, offices, and orders. God imparts the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit by appointing a group of elders to lay hands on those He indicates and prophesying over them. The gifts grow into ministries as members of Christ’s body yield themselves to the indwelling Christ. Christ is the ministry in each one. Many “expert theologians” advise us that we cannot know Jesus Christ in a way that He leads, teaches, and corrects us moment by moment.

Many “expert theologians” advise us that we cannot know Jesus Christ in a way that He leads, teaches, and corrects us moment by moment. Yet, Christ reveals Himself to every person. He is the Light that lights every person. The difference is that some refuse to acknowledge Him. Some refuse to know about Him. Some think they know all about Him but refuse to know Him. Some know Him and are finding out more about Him daily.

Lo, I Am Coming

Lo, I am coming,
Ye shall look for Me again,
This time appearing,
Unto salvation without sin.

Why stand ye gazing?
I have come and now you see,
In these clouds of Glory,
Shall ye now appear with Me.

We know about wisdom and knowledge, but what is understanding?

We know about wisdom and knowledge, but what is understanding? We have these two verses:

“Lean not on your own understanding.” (See Proverbs 3:5-6)
“Though it cost all you have, get understanding.” (See Proverbs 4:7)

Human understanding is like trying to assemble a giant jigsaw puzzle. Many pieces look like they might fit, but then you find they don’t fit exactly. You get more information, and you find out you have one piece in the wrong place. You can force a piece into place, but it ruins the picture. It’s not just the problem of getting all the pieces in the right place. You can’t get all the pieces, so you never know whether a piece that comes along in the future will conflict with what you think you’ve figured out. If you discover something that conflicts with what you thought you understood, it forces you to reconstruct your paradigm to fit the new information. And yet, there’s more. We have two different puzzles. One puzzle is our own understanding and the other comes from God.
“We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true.” (1 John 5:20)

“We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives.” (Colossians 1:9)

It doesn’t end there. We might think we have two different puzzles, but one isn’t a puzzle to be assembled by our deceitful ruminating minds. What we thought was a spiritual puzzle isn’t a puzzle at all. We were trying to figure out what we imagined to be a riddle, but it turns out it isn’t a riddle. It’s the essence and glory of Christ in us. The understanding that comes from God is the Person of Jesus Christ. It’s Christ in you and you in Christ. It encompasses the entire body of Christ including you. A puzzle doesn’t do any work, but Christ the body is the operative and living Kingdom of God. It’s Christ coming (Parousia) in the flesh and unveiled on the earth. (2 John 1:7, James 5:8)

If I try to put the wisdom and truth of God into a container, I’ll find that container to be broken. (Jeremiah 2:13) I can’t find a container that will hold the flowing stream of Christ that comes from the throne of God. All my effort in trying to put the pieces together in my mind just causes a false illusion of understanding. True understanding is the Christ in us that has been built up through God’s by-grace-through-faith process. Christ in us never disconnects from the Father. The stream of life is constantly flowing and immersing Christ in us with true life from heaven. (Your Metamorphosis – Scientia)
