Yes. He will set you free from sin in four ways.
First, He covers your past sins by His blood. He paid your debt.
Second, if you sin again, confess your sin to Him, and He forgives it.
Third, the fleshly nature that is in you is temporary and dying away. That is not who you are. You are a ministry and you have a ministry. You’re ministry is Christ in you, the hope of glory. That part of your spirit and mind that has been transformed into Christ who you are. He is your identity, not the sinful flesh. If your flesh trips you up, you are not your flesh. You are the Christ in you. Christ in you cannot sin.
Fourth, each time you are tempted by being drawn away from Christ by your own sinful carnal mind, Christ in you also rises up to lead you in righteousness. This is a war. It is a conflict or fight. Only you can control your will. When you turn your will to listen to Christ in you, faith comes by hearing the Word. Christ is the Word. Christ, that Word of leading, authors faith in your heart. Faith gives you access to the power of God’s grace, and God’s grace does God’s righteousness through you instead of obeying the fallen carnal mind. This is victory over sin in little steps. With each step, it’s the parable of the Sower. The Seed is the Word. Christ is the Word. That Seed, Christ, in you is built up. The carnal is diminished and less influence. More than that happens in this process, but you have taken a step. You are more fully conformed to Christ than you were a moment ago. And you have been set free from sin to a level you never were before.
