The flesh wants to preserve itself and it wants what it wants. They Holy Spirit destroys the fleshly nature as He forms Christ in us. The flesh will try to manufacture love, but it will always be a fake love. God is love. We can’t have love without God. “The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost.” The flesh will try to be righteous, but self-righteousness gets us nowhere in with God. Jesus Christ is our righteousness. Read Paul’s letter to the Romans. The Bible tells us that any wisdom, love, knowledge, or righteousness comes from God.
