rational = sane
rationalize = give the illusion that the insane is sane
rationalism = the idea that reason is the sole source of knowledge rather than either observation or divine revelation
Some dictionaries say “rational” is that which is based on reason, but there are many types of reason. Rationalism is a type of reason, but it claims the human mind can self-generate truth from nothing. By divine revelation, we know the human mind is deceitful and desperately wicked beyond our ability to know just how wicked it is. And we also know that ALL wisdom, knowledge, and truth can ONLY be found in Christ.
