As members of Christ’s body, each of us is matchless. The Christ in us is perfect and cannot be mixed with the flesh. The flesh is religious and is into self-improvement. You can’t reform the fleshly nature. The fleshy nature must die. The fleshly nature would like to convert God’s pattern and orders into a set of rules or laws, but rules and laws can’t contain God’s pattern. God established a pattern and orders for Christ’s body, and we can read about those in Scripture. God’s pattern is spiritual and contains everything needed for God to form this spiritual body.

As part of God’s pattern, God delegates authority in specific ways to fathers, mothers, local elders, local deacons, traveling elders, traveling deacons, and every member in His body. Once He has delegated His authority, He operates His power through the person set into authority in unity and love according to the pattern found in the Bible. Right now, Christ’s body is incomplete, so only spiritual eyes can see it. However, God has promised us spiritual eyes and has commanded us to pray that He establishes a new level of seeing in us by giving us those eyes to see. (Your Metamorphosis – Scientia)
