Why shouldn’t we add to God’s words?

 

Because God asks us not to add to His words or diminish His words through theories, unrevealed theologies, or other forms of speculation. Whatever does not come by divine revelation is made-up stuff. Adding made-up stuff to our thinking or speaking is insanity. That’s why.

God has spoken to me quite a bit about this reprobate mind in specific ways. The reprobate mind is simply the fallen human mind without the flowing river of divine revelation. You don’t want to be turned over to your own mind. Without divine revelation, the reprobate mind has no way to reason to truth. Without truth, all reasoning is insanity. It’s making up stuff and calling the made-up stuff “true.” It was very humbling when God was talking to me about the uselessness of my mind.

Did you know that scientists have discovered that a light flashes when a new baby is conceived? It’s amazing that a light flashes when a new baby is conceived, and we should glorify God about it. Some have hinted that this may be the Light that lights every person who comes into the world. I think it’s more than that.

We know the identity of the true Light Who lights every person who comes into the world. His name is Jesus Christ. We know from Romans 1 that God gives revelation to every person. He even goes so far as to reveal everything that can be known about God and the Godhead. That’s a lot. That’s why we are without excuse if we refuse to acknowledge that all wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and truth come from God. That’s why we are without excuse if we claim that we have self-generated the wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and truth that came from God. That’s why God says, “Well, if you want the darkness of your own reprobate mind, here you go. I’ll turn you over to it. Justice.

God has exposed the unreliability of every agency, group, or any other thing like those who are supposed to teach, protect, or advise us for one reason. He wants us to realize that He is real and can show us what is true or false. He alone is our teacher, redeemer, healer, supplier, and protector.

Why has the Church been a house divided? Because God’s people haven’t been listening to His voice.

Teacher: My opinion is fact.

Judge: My opinion is reality.

Professor: My opinion is truth.

Theologian: My opinion is Bible.

Doctor: My opinion is medicine.

Jesus: I Am the Truth, the Light, the Way, the Door,

The only Source of ALL Knowledge and Wisdom.

Awe and respect of Me is the beginning of understanding.

Without Me, there is no science, fact, or truth.

 

Rational: sane.

Rationalize: make the insane appear sane.

Rationalism: a philosophy that tries to make insanity seem rational.

Once you know Jesus, every theological argument is trite and silly.

All wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ Jesus. Only a fool speaks without knowledge.

God is calling you to enter the Holy of Holies, to come in and not leave, to remain in His presence, listening to His voice.

ALL who whole-heartedly seek Jesus find Him.

Some people use “religion,” to manipulate Christ-followers and draw them away from Christ.

The Foundation for Christians is Christ Himself.
