The one thing God is doing in the Church is helping us to get to know Jesus Christ to the point of being transfigured into His image and likeness.

If you hear a word, a prophecy, or a teaching,
don’t receive it because a godly person says,

“I’m a prophet (teacher, pastor, theologian, or apostle).”
Don’t get swept along by pressure, threats, or emotion.
Rather, ask God to make clear to you
whether you should believe it.
Stand in God’s presence and remain there.
Even if you are deceived for a while,
the Holy Spirit will correct you and teach you.
