Some people imagine that turning to Christ happens once when you are born again and that’s it. That’s not true. While being born again is a one-time event, that’s just the start. Turning to the Lord is a moment by moment decision. Moment by moment, you decide whether you will turn to the Lord, to the human mind, or some evil spirit.
You must desire God and His righteousness and yield yourself to His Spirit. This scripture goes on to say “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
Walking in the Spirit is about progressive and continual transformation that will be finished in the manifestation of the sons of God and the redemption of our bodies. That transformation from glory to glory is maturity. Right now, we aren’t as mature as we will be, but we must begin from where we are. God knows our weakness, and He’s right there cheering us on.
