Christ IS Truth
There’s only one Jesus. All who sincerely and persistently seek Jesus find Him. Jesus leads, teaches, and corrects all who follow Him. All wisdom and knowledge of the truth are hidden in Him. It would be impossible for Him to lie or get it wrong. If you get it wrong but continue to seek His wisdom and understanding, He will correct you in time.
Anytime we observe anything, have any experience, or read the Bible, we interpret it. Where do we get the information to interpret the observation or experience? Where do we get the extra information to interpret the Bible?
Christians generally are divided over that extra information they use to interpret the Bible. And most Christians think they are reading the Bible directly and are totally unaware of the extra information since the process of interpretation is mostly done subconsciously. It’s called “hidden assumptions.” Those are assumptions we make without even realizing we are making them. They also are hidden behind things people say. People don’t tell you about their hidden assumptions.
These are assumptions we make without being aware we are making them. We just presuppose them without consciously thinking about them. They are often assumptions that live in our worldview and seem like reality to us. This is one of the sneaky ways our human reason works against us.
But Christ is the truth. And we can have wisdom and knowledge of truth from Him.
