NOT AFTER THE FLESH

NOT AFTER THE FLESH

NOT AFTER THE FLESH

When we are offended or angry, we need to ask the Father to speak His vision into our hearts. Then we will see the callings of those around us and the order and pattern of Christ the body into which God has placed us. We will see Christ in our brothers and sisters. And we will realize that our brothers and sisters ARE the Christ within them even though our brothers and sisters still HAVE fleshly natures. Henceforth, we don’t know anyone after the flesh. (2 Co. 5:16) As we look into the mirror of God’s perfect law of liberty, we discern Christ the body. (Ja. 1:23) We focus intently on the vision God is showing us and realize that what we say or do to a brother or sister we say or do to Christ.

Rationalism and revelation will never see eye to eye.

Rationalism and revelation will never see eye to eye.

Rationalism and revelation will never see eye to eye.

Rationalism and revelation will never see eye to eye.
Revelation trusts in God,
Rationalism trusts lies.

Rationalism thinks the human mind is all the source.
That human minds can dream up truth.
That they are the ultimate force.

Revelation believes God’s Word, unchallenged to this hour.
That God can yet reveal His truth.
That He is the ultimate power.

And rationalized theology and science can be shown
The source of every kind of pain,
And trouble the earth has known.

But God has never authored strife, disorder, curse or plague.
He is the source of all that’s good.
His Light is never vague.

What God has made declares His power so anyone can see.
But as for those who make up facts?
They’re blind as blind can be.

Pastors, teachers, and leaders, take a look at the new roleplaying system about how to talk about Jesus without getting into arguments. We’ve been taught ways that don’t work. Because of the frustration of doing what doesn’t work, many Christians have just stopped trying to bring others to Christ. This is different. Never be afraid to ask someone with a godless argument how they know. If what they say isn’t true, they can’t give you a rational answer. They expose the foolishness of the lie when they try to give a reason for the lie.

DISCERNMENT

DISCERNMENT

DISCERNMENT

Every member of this body has authority in Christ. When God sets someone into authority, that person isn’t perfect and will make mistakes. (Ja. 3:2) If God shows us that something is in disorder, He doesn’t reveal this to us to create division between us and other members. He reveals it so we can discern Christ the body from religious disorders. (1 Co. 1:29) He reveals it to deliver Christ’s body from anything that works against what God is doing. Rather than focusing on the fleshly nature that is fading into non-existence, the Spirit urges us to focus on the ministry (Christ) in each member.

As you look into this mirror at the glory of the body of Christ as it ought to be, you’re transfigured into the image and likeness of the living Christ.

The flesh will do anything religious to avoid standing in God’s presence

The flesh will do anything religious to avoid standing in God's presence

The flesh will do anything religious to avoid standing in God’s presence

The flesh will do anything religious to avoid standing in God’s presence, listening to His voice, and yielding in obedience to His Spirit so He can say His words and do His acts through us. It will put the Bible in God’s place and make us think we can understand it on our own. It will direct us into a certain formula. It will tell us to avoid all sorts of things, some of which are good to avoid. It will show us 6 good points to follow rather than walking in the Spirit. It will take a true prophecy and turn it into a law or principle. Be aware that the thing it doesn’t want is your personal, moment-by-moment relationship with Christ. It doesn’t want God leading and you following because that is a walk from glory to glory that destroys that rebellious fleshly nature and completes the work of forming Christ in you.

Pure Thought Is Based On Logic, So The Story Goes

Pure Thought Is Based On Logic, So The Story Goes

Pure Thought Is Based On Logic, So The Story Goes

Pure Thought Is Based On Logic, So The Story Goes

Pure thought is based on logic, so the story goes.
We swallow this line easily, as everybody knows.
But reasoning and logic, fall short to tell what’s true.
And scholars argue constantly all mired in a goo
Of logical assumptions–they all sit in their stew,
As they have done for ages. This is nothing new.

Their books and papers, proven false by that which they can see,
But, proud and haughty, they deny that it can ever be.
Scientist or theologian–they are all the same.
“Facts” based on assumptions, all stirring in their brains.
A brain so proud, it says to God, “Who are You to tell.”
And gives us quite a clue to just how Satan fell.

The more they learn, the more they know, the more confused they are,
For when they learn what isn’t true, they’re stuck in pitch-black tar.
They look into the Bible, but they don’t see the Word.
A veil is there before their eyes. They see what they had heard.
Is God able to reveal? Can His Spirit show–
If we’re willing now to yield–things that we must know?

As God reveals, won’t He know to show us all the same?
Won’t He show us in the way the Bible does proclaim?
For God does send, the Bible says, and tells us how He sends.
He chooses whom He will to send, and He determines when.
If there is great discord and all this argument,
It simply means that someone runs whom God has never sent.

This isn’t a poem to deny logic or rational thought. It mentions “logical assumptions.” There are no truly logical assumptions. Assumptions always consist of made-up stuff. Calling made-up stuff real is the basis of all irrational thinking. It’s the root cause of every lie. Sound logic must have true premises. In other words, sound logic requires truth. Not only does it require truth but it must add nothing to that truth and diminish no part of that truth. Sound logic can’t have a single ounce of made-up stuff.

Since humans don’t have a way to reason to truth, where can we get truth? We have to go to Someone Who knows all things, can’t lie, loves us, and will lead us if we will follow. This is the Person Who IS the Truth and in Whom all knowledge and wisdom is hidden. Jesus is real and knowable. All Who sincerely and persistently seek Him will find Him and get to know Him in a continual walk of unfolding revelation of truth. He leads, teaches, and corrects all who follow Him. This isn’t a one-and-done walk. It’s a walk from glory to glory, tearing down one inner stronghold after the other.

When you see the body of Christ, you see it as the fulfilled body. You see every member as the Christ within Who cannot sin.

THE GLORIOUS BODY

THE GLORIOUS BODY

THE GLORIOUS BODY

As God gives us an unfolding vision of who we are in Christ and how we fit into His body, He also reveals the specific structure and order for Christ the body in Scripture. “See, sayeth He, that you build all things according to the pattern.” (He. 8:5) He tells us this body is not haphazard but has a specific order that He planned before time began. When God reveals gifts, ministries, operations, offices, foot washing, head coverings, and so much more, we behold the glory of the Lord as if looking in a mirror. The flesh may want to turn this revelation into a form or doctrine, but God intends it for our transfiguration. These revelations are not rules but rather we will see and discern them plainly as the Holy Spirit leads and operates in each member. And this working in each member is by grace, which is through faith, which comes by hearing the leading of God. That revelation is the unveiling of Jesus Christ Himself.

Lord, My heart is not haughty, Nor mine eyes lofty

Lord, My heart is not haughty, Nor mine eyes lofty

PSALM 131

Lord, My heart is not haughty,
Nor mine eyes lofty,
I don’t exercise myself in great matters I can’t see,
In things that are too high for me.

Let Israel hope in the Lord.
From henceforth, and forever.
Let Israel hope in the Lord.
From henceforth, and forever.

Surely, I have stilled myself
And quieted myself
As a child that is weaned of his mother, a weaned child.
My soul is as a weaned child.

Let Israel hope in the Lord.
From henceforth, and forever.
Let Israel hope in the Lord.
From henceforth, and forever.

THE ANOINTING OF BEING

THE ANOINTING OF BEING

THE ANOINTING OF BEING

We are entering the anointing of being by each of us becoming the ministry (Christ), which God is creating in us. Not only is God forming Christ in us completely, but He is also preparing a specific place for each of us in Christ the body. (Jn. 14:2-3) As we gather to worship or pray together, we build up Christ in each other. (1 Co. 12:26) That’s true, but we are also BEING JOINED as parts of Christ the body. (1 Co. 1:10) The same thing that happens individually as the Holy Spirit leads us and we yield to the Holy Spirit in our daily lives now happens in the meeting. The entire assembly is building Christ in each member when everyone has a psalm or a teaching, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. (1 Co. 14:26) We assemble ourselves, not just getting together but fitting ourselves together into Christ. (He. 10:25) This is the in-Christ experience. (1 Co. 1:30) Christ the body is a bit like a jigsaw puzzle in that each piece of a puzzle must go in the right place. Some pieces look like they would fit in a certain place, but you would have to force them and it ruins the picture. It takes patience to get every piece in place, but the result is beautiful when you finish the puzzle. In the same way, you will never be fully satisfied and happy until God completes His work in you. The difference is that a jigsaw puzzle doesn’t do any work, but Christ the body is the functioning and dynamic Kingdom of God. It’s Christ coming in the flesh and appearing on the earth. (2 Jn. 1:7)

Press toward the mark of your high calling in Christ Jesus

Press toward the mark
of your high calling in Christ Jesus

Press toward the mark
of your high calling in Christ Jesus

The counterfeit kingdom is now set in motion,
For each precept of God, there’s a false one in place.
There’s no hope in fearing and knowing the darkness.
Our hope is in seeking our dear Savior’s face.

CHORUS:
Press toward the mark of your high calling in Christ Jesus
Forgetting all those things which are behind.
Press toward the mark of your high calling in Christ Jesus
And be transformed by renewing of your mind.

If you ask for a fish, He won’t give you a serpent.
And if you ask for bread, He won’t give you a stone.
Our Father gives only good gifts to His children.
He gives us His Spirit and His Spirit alone.

CHORUS

Don’t look to your natural mind to protect you.
Don’t look to knowledge, which you once received.
Walk in the Spirit of God, the Anointing,
Then having the Truth, you will not be deceived.

CHORUS

Our sword is the Word as revealed by the Spirit,
Salvation, our helmet; God’s faith is our shield.
Righteousness, and the gospel and truth is our armor.
The gifts of the Spirit, the weapons we wield.

CHORUS

Our weapons of warfare, they’re strong and they’re mighty,
To tear down the strongholds of Satan’s abode.
We must enter into the Holy of Holies,
And fight to establish the Kingdom of God.

CHORUS

YOU IN CHRIST

YOU IN CHRIST

YOU IN CHRIST

We can see how Christ is in us, but Scripture speaks of us being in Christ. What does it mean to be in Christ, and how can we be in Christ? Scripture says the human body is one and has many members, and so also is Christ. (1 Co. 12:12) It doesn’t say, “And so also is the body of Christ.” Christ the body is no less Christ than Christ the Head. Christ is a many-membered body being formed on earth that’s joined in submission to The Head in heaven. Being in Christ in unity is our high calling in Christ Jesus. (Ph. 3:12)
Many parallel streams are heading toward a confluence of the waters. We are at an inflection point. God is about to reveal His Kingdom order as never before. We’ll have to adjust our preconceived ideas to His master plan.

Purposed long ago,
To bring you to pure life.

Failure ne’er shall be,
Trusting, onward go,
This is your new Day,
My presence now to show.

THE POWER OF THE WORD

THE POWER OF THE WORD

THE POWER OF THE WORD

We need to grasp the authority and power God gives us whenever He speaks His Word to us, whenever He leads or corrects us. The words we speak have power for good or evil. (Ja. 3:2-12, Mt. 15:11) We will be judged for every idle word, and an idle word is a word God didn’t speak through us. (Mt. 12:36) When God speaks through us, we speak the living Christ. We are speaking forth the power, glory, and authority of the One by Whom everything holds together. The power of agreeing verbally with God rather than agreeing with the accuser cannot be overstated. As we cooperate with the anointing, we have no doubt in our minds and God says “Amen!” through us, He speaks with the same authority that said “Let there be light.” (1 Co. 14:16) And yet, if we harbor doubt or use “Amen” as a cliché, it has no power. “God bless you” is an exercise of God’s authority. So is prophecy, a word of wisdom, or a word of knowledge. When we pray the will of God as He says His prayer through us, we are truly praying in Jesus’ name. Our lives change as we understand what God has put into our hands. God gives us a vision for healing, and health springs forth as He speaks words of healing from our lips. He will heal broken relationships as He speaks His word through us. He will break every yoke of bondage and solve every problem. And we are participating in it as we yield ourselves to Him. The Creator of the universe abides in us. May the Holy Spirit give us a vision of that power. His Word lives in us, and whatever He leads us to must conform to His will.

PRAISE, PRAISE, PRAISE THE LORD

Praise, praise, praise the Lord!
Praise, praise, praise His Name!
Oh! Praise, praise, praise the Lord!
Praise the Name of the Lord!
(repeat)

His Name is Lord and King.
His Name is Savior,
The Anointed One.
How I want to Know Him more!
He is the Master of the universe,
Yet He chose to live in me.
He is the Master of the universe,
And yet somehow He lives in me.
