WHO IS RATIONALIZING?
After the days of Luther and Calvin, the formal philosophy of rationalism came in a movement called the Enlightenment. This was a time of increasing darkness that went from Christian rationalizing to formal atheist rationalism. When atheists rationalize, they don’t include divine revelation. When Christians rationalize, some of them rationalize just like atheists. Other Christians rationalize by adding to God’s words or by diminishing parts of God’s words often without realizing they are doing so.
