Focus Exclusively On What Christ Is Telling You

Many people seek God but already have certain areas of doctrine they think God can’t touch. Many seek God but also consider worldly advice and counsel. That’s the veil that is taken away when we look to Christ exclusively without double-mindedness. (2 Corinthians 3) James wrote that if we doubt, we are double-minded and receive nothing from the Lord. (James 1) If you doubt that God can communicate the truth that you need for the situation, then you give your fallen, deceitful, and desperately wicked carnal mind, the mind you were born with that God wants to transform—you give that mind permission to jump in and help out. That mind will muddy the pure revelation that comes from God, and you will receive nothing from the Lord. You must focus on Christ and what He is telling you.
