When we feel irritated or angry, we can pray for God to give us a revelation of hope in our innermost beings. We want to discern Christ the body and see the ministries of our brothers and sisters. We desire to see the order and pattern of Christ the body. God has placed us into Christ’s body. Oh, to see Christ in our brothers and sisters! We must see reality as it is. Our brothers and sisters ARE the Christ in them. Yes. They still HAVE fleshly natures, but that’s not who they ARE. Christ doesn’t sin or make mistakes. Important! The enemy of your soul will return to reclaim you and destroy you. Many Christians falter at this point. They live in self-condemnation, shame, or defeat. That’s unnecessary. They have the victory. You have the victory already. When you prayed the prayer of faith, God gave you a vision of hope and deliverance. Your faith was suddenly accompanied by a sense of relief, victory, thankfulness to God, and worship. That was real, and it remains real.

When the enemy comes to tempt you, the Holy Spirit will also remind you of God’s promise. You will know Christ has set you free. You will know you walk in glorious liberty. The Holy Spirit will remind you of that sense of relief, victory, thankfulness to God, and worship. And the Holy Spirit will offer it to you again for the moment of temptation or doubt. Sin and sickness no longer have power over you. Look for it. You will find it. In the glow of that revelation, the enemy has nothing in you. You are free. When you turn to the Lord, the enemy has no power over you. If you turn toward the enemy and listen to him, you won’t be able to turn to the Lord. The choice is yours every time.

Rather than fixating on the failure of the flesh, the Holy Spirit leads us to FIX OUR MINDS ON THE CHRIST IN EACH MEMBER.

God sets every member of Christ’s body in place with some authority. The authority God gives a child is different from the authority God gives a father or mother. Authority comes in the form of leadings, gifts, ministries, and offices. Every ministry operates with authority when God directs it. God operates each office in the church according to His will, and those who hold those offices must listen to God as He directs. The fleshly nature tries to go beyond the authority God gives, and that can quench the ministries of others. The fleshly nature may also show itself in fear that hinders gifts and ministries. When God appoints a member into authority, that member will make errors since he or she still has a fleshly nature and is imperfect. (James 3:2) God may show you a disorder, but He doesn’t show you this to create division. He shows you so you can discern Christ the body from spiritual confusion. (Ephesians 4:16, 1 Corinthians 12:27-13:3) God exposes confusion to deliver the body of Christ from bondage. (Matthew 18:15-17, Matthew 7:3-5) Rather than fixating on the failure of the flesh, the Holy Spirit leads us to FIX OUR MINDS ON THE CHRIST IN EACH MEMBER. In the Spirit, YOU BECOME WHAT YOU SEE. If you see Christ, you’re transformed into His likeness. If you focus on the flesh, you become fleshly. (Your Metamorphosis – Scientia)

The fruit of the Spirit is OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

This may seem too obvious, but the fruit of the Spirit is OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. And the fruit of the flesh comes from the flesh. The fruit of the Spirit always begins with a Word from the Father. That Word is a correction, leading, or teaching from the Father. The Father speaks through Scripture or any means of divine revelation mentioned in Scripture. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing comes by the rhema (spoken Word) of God. Jesus (the spoken Word of God) authors our faith and then finishes it. Faith gives access to grace. And grace does the works of God and says the words of God through us. Of course, we could frustrate the grace of God we must yield to His free gift of righteousness, which God imparts by grace. In other words, grace saves us from sin to righteousness. And we can only enter grace through faith. Faith comes as the Father speaks to us and we hear Him. First, God’s grace does God’s work through us. Next, we submit the members of our bodies to His righteousness to the point that grace can do this work. In the process, God plants His Holy Seed in our hearts. This fulfills the Parable of the Sower. That holy Seed is the Word (Jesus Christ). The Holy Spirit is forming Christ in us. This work that grace does through us is the fruit of the Spirit. The work of grace didn’t spring from following a doctrine, organization, philosophy, or any other concept. It came from following God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Word God speaks isn’t a concept. It’s solid and real. It’s the Person of Jesus. (Your Metamorphosis – Scientia)

Without divine revelation, nothing can be known. The human mind can’t reason to Truth. We can reason to opinions and dogmas. We can’t reason to Truth. Rational thought is based on Truth. It’s never rational to base thinking on untruth. We can learn what seems to work in various situations, but we can’t reason to Truth. Truth can only be revealed by One Who knows ALL Truth.

When we see Christ in the members of His body, we walk in unity

Galatians 5:20 mentions a fruit of the flesh known as “party spirit.” “Party spirit” was translated from the Greek word “hairesis.” The literal meaning of “hairesis” is “a choice or option.” In use, it means choosing to follow a doctrine, sect, organization, or person instead of following Christ. It’s the word from which we get “heresy” and “heretic.” Ironically, some Christians label anyone who doesn’t agree with their particular doctrine or who doesn’t belong to their sect as a heretic.

Party spirit isn’t always over false doctrine. Party spirit resists God’s leading because God calls us to higher heights and deeper depths. When people follow a doctrine, organization, or person instead of following Christ, a sense of pride and having secret knowledge comes over them. So, party spirit is a fruit of the flesh but not because of false doctrine. The doctrine may be false or true, but the focus has turned from Christ. Party spirit divides Christ the body by following something other than Christ Himself. To defeat the party spirit, we listen to God’s leading, yield to His Spirit, and discern how Christ is coming and appearing in His body. When we see Christ in the members of His body, we walk in unity. (Your Metamorphosis – Scientia)
